I have some questions about the lions in real life and the lions from Disney: do lions have a hair tuf on their tails? could a lion survive for ten years eating bugs? do brown lions exist? could a lion have a pink nose ?
zing
Lionlion> Lions actually live to 16 in the wild if healthy, but males only because of injuries atained while fighting with other lions, generally do die young. Lions reach 25 in captivity. If a lion died before 10, it's life was probably cut short by another lion or illness.
And in answer to your question, lions have a small bit of thicker fur at the end of their tail but nothing like disney create them as.
It could not survive on bugs for ten years- a growing cub like simba would probably become deformed and die as there is not all the required nutrients in bugs for a meal. And Simba wasn't out there for 10 years- probably around 5-6 years. (Lions reach sexual maturity at 2-3, and gain manes at 5 or 6, and simba had a full mane)
All lions are light brown, if anything, simba and mufasa are the most unrealistic as they are orangey-yellow with red manes. Sarabi has the most realistic colouring out of all the lions.
Most lions have a pinky-red nose anyway so yes, they can have a pink nose.
Hope this is of use.

They do have a little hair tuft, some are more noticeable than others,
lions are carnivores so they couldn't survive eating bugs. Lions don't
usually survive for more than 10 years anyway and they must eat meat,
some lions are darker in colour but none are offically brown and a
lions nose changes from pink to black so yes, it could be pink. Hope this helps! |
