Haley 13
Hello, my name is Haley Thornhill. I am 13 years old and yeah I know it's pretty dumd for a 13 year old girl to love The Lion King. But ever since I was a little girl I have loved everything about The Lion King from the animation to the plot of the movie. But now my love for The Lion King is being tested. My gradmother says The Lion King is for children and at first I didn't believe her, but the more she says it the more I am starting to believe her. I just don't know what to believe any more. Please help me.

I have to agree with Rebekah. I'm in my mid-twenties, and I still love The Lion King, even though I do not watch it. I know it by heart, same with Simba's Pride - even though I can't stand it because, in my eyes, it should have been a thousand times better than what it was, but that's another story.
No one is too old for The Lion King. Anyone who says otherwise has no imagination or lack of something else entirely.
No offense to your grandmother, Haley, but if the shoe fits, wear it. You love The Lion King, go ahead, and keep that love. No one can take it away from you unless you let them. Don't. We have too many bitter people in this world as it is.

You are your own person. No-one can decide what you like, what you
don't like, but you. I'm 14 and I adore the Lion King. All my friends
think I'm mad but I don't care because I'm just me! |

I'm 13, and I've loved TLK since I first saw it (I was like 6 then)
There are some movies that are for all ages; age doesn't matter. TLK
is one of these movies. So, just put that movie on and just enjoy it^^ |

I'm in my 20s. I know people older than me who loves TLK. I know full
time mothers who love TLK. Furthermore another reason why TLK is not necessarily for children is because of the scary scenes that children may find disturbing. Simba crying over his father's dead body, for instance. |

I'm 12 and I'm obsessed with it! I'm pretty sure that when 13 I will
be too. My mom says that to me too, but then again I'm an Eminem
fan so I could care less.![]() |

My 11 year old sister love's it, and she's about the same age as you.
My mom and dad love, and their in their older 40's! You can be a Lion
King lover any age, and anywhere. Its not other opions you have to
follow to love The Lion King. Be yourself, and make that dision
yourself. Don't let you're Grandmother take it away from you. |

It doesn't matter how old you are, everyone can love the lion king (my
sister does and she's 20) so if your family say it's for children,
ignore them. If you want to be a fan of The Lion King, you be a fan of
The Lion King, and there is no reason your family should stop you from
being one. You believe what you want to believe |
