Um, well, i'm not sure if this has already been asked but I couldn't find it. I've seen this glitch around the site where lots of things have these A's on them, and I want to know these things:
- Why haven't the mods fixed this glitch yet?
- Are they unable to?
- Does anyone else see or not see them?
- Why do sites get glitches? Is it because someone's messed with the site code?

There is a way to get rid of them on your Presentation. Go to Your
profile-> Edit Profile-> Edit Presentation-> And then you should spot
a "Source" button in the top left corner. Click that. Everywhere you
see "&-n-b-s-p;" (With out the lines of course), delete that. It takes
a while, but it is the current only way to get rid of them. Then,
click Source again and "Update my profile". |

Mod are NOT able to fix glitches, I don't understand why people think
it's their responsibility to fix them. Only Steet can. |

You mean those "Â" symbols? Yeah I see them sometimes. Why haven't the mods fixed this glitch yet? Because mods can't fix everything. It all depends on where problem is. Mostly what mods can do is to edit message and remove them and that is it. Usually you need developer to fix something. Are they unable to? I doubt. But it is not always so easy to fix it. Knowing that something is bugged is only one small step towards solution. Much bigger step is to find how it is bugged. And of course much harder. It can take a while and usually site developers have stuff to do outside site, so that might take time. I am sure they will get to it. But it really depends on how it is bugged. Maybe they are still looking for solution or for source of bug. I remember my countless hours I spent finding mistakes in my programs, which I had to turn in for homework. Does anyone else see or not see them? If it is "Â" then yes, I occasionally see them. Why do sites get glitches? Is it because someone's messed with the site code? That is one possibility. It can be because someone did not code something well or simply made mistake. But it also can be some unexpected possibility. Like people adding in symbols which are not recognized by browse and get replaced by random symbol with same code when you load page. Otherwise bugs happen, despite how skilled developer is. It is just part of development cycle. You just can't predict and test every possible situation. Mistakes happen, often stuff look like they should work by all logic, but latter you find something got bugged. I am sure steet or any other developer will get to it and check it out. |
