Well, it says in the book- Vulture Shock: The Lion King, Six New Adventures- that Mega is the lion who looks like this (below)

 

 

It also says that here, but on just about every other site I've been on, it says this lion (the one who is laughing- to my knowledge, Mega) is Leo. And that the one behind the tree is Mega.

Actually, I figured that the lion behind the tree was one of the other lions who talks about Kopa after he leaves.

 

So, who exactly is Mega?

EDIT: Just found out, that the big lion laughing IS Leo. It says on page 43 that Leo is with Simba and Nala and says, "Vultures!" when the Buzzard Boyz land. The only other animals mentioned are the hippo and the antelope. Now, in the pucture this remains the same; Leo is in the picture (the same lion as the big one laughing) along with Nala, Simba, the Buzzards, Rafiki, Zazu, Kiboko and Nzee. No other lions are mentioned or shown- barring the main ones-. In conclusion, this lion MUST be Leo.

As said, the description which only says he is "an old lion with full mane". So I guess you could say both lions do go with description. So these sites are only guessing, because there is no clear description which would point out one of them. If I would guess I would say one next to Kopa looks to me more like Leo, which leaves one behind tree to be Mega. But that is just my opinion.

No one knows for sure; he does have a profile on here, but there is only the information you already know. Mega is whoever you want hm to be or think of him as, you could make your own history of him. I'm sure you'll understand him better if you have your own thoughts and opinions, like I have and many fans have done for Kopa! xp
