Introduction

Hello and welcome to our contest, I say I because this is a Shared Contest between Claire Cooper and I. The Idea Started when I made Odysseus a Lion based off of the story "The Odyssey"  this sparked a few other Mythology story based Lions to spring forth, such as Andromeda and Persephone. With Encouragement from Namacub95 and Claire Cooper I countinued with my Mythology faimily tree, and made the Characters Adonis, Aphrodite, Eros, Erebus, Icarus/Hermaphrodius, Megaera, and Oedipus. From There Claire Suggested that we start up an Pride, She and I are both running this contest, and She is also doing the Judging and so on for the contest.

How To Enter

First off click the join this contest button/link. You may try for the Open Possitions in the pride which are a list of Names of the Historical Mythology people. If you choose to do this please state which character(s) you are going to try to make. various People can try for the same character but only one may get it and that will go to the person with the best design and Bio for that character (but the Bio int he comments below)

Another way to enter is to send in a character you created that is not on the Mythological List, and he or she will be considerd as the "mortals" where in Mythology.Please note for now the List is Incomplete Check Here for a list of characters that are in the Pride, that you may try for.

Please note that if the 3 Already Exsisting Members wish to Create a character on the list it will automaticly go to them as they have first pick.

Rules:

• Designs Must represent the Character well if you are trying for a character on the list, this goes for the bio as well.

•  But alot of Effort into your character

• Sparkle Lions Are allowed, But they have to be extremely Neat and well designed. This means do not make them ALL neon and unnatural colors.

• Listen to Claire as she is running this contest as well, Nama also has some pull here and is in the pride.

• If you design doesn't make it. don't whine, you can always try again.

• Credit the original artist if you use a lineart, base, or Blank

• Be nice to Each other, show some sports-man-ship

I am claiming Hemera and Rhea(I will probably have their pictures up by tomorrow) Name: Hemera Gender:Female How He/She is Connected to the Olympians: The goddess of daylight and the sun. She is the daughter of Erebos and Nyx and the younger sibling of Aether. Bio: Hemera and her brother Aether were born to Erebos and Nyx. When she got alittle older she showed that she could bring the daylight back and the sun back even if it was still dark out while her brother Aether could only bring light. Name: Rhea Gender:Female How He/she is Connected to the Olympians: Titan of female fertility,motherhood, and generation.She is the sister of Cronus,mother of Zeus,Hades,Poseidon,Hera,Demeter and Hestia Bio: She was born to Uranus the god of the sky and Gaia the goddess of the earth. When she reached an early age she started to help first time mothers by protecting them from the dangers among them which when newborns were born they would be protected.

However i've noticed to points: Bluestarlover: Poseidon's design breaks the Sparkle animal rule they can't but all unnatural colors Claire: I'm afraid Hades and Hephaestus are not following the Sparkle rule either, ^^' and many people might have a hard time rendering the fire manes if they try to render a picture of the pride of of the pride members together. *hides behind rock* pleasedon'thurtmeguys

Name: Hephaestus Occupation: God Of Fire Gender: Male Personality: He is abit of an outcast and tends to stick to himself. He heals others and can be known to be for his ability to make fire and weapons. He is also a quiet and is prone to being on his own. Hephaestus is also strong willed and has a hard time making friends. Relation to Olypians: Is the son of Zeus and Hera History: When he was born Hera found him to be a deformed cub and tossed him aside the second he was born. He was found by Thetis and raised by him. He grew up with a limp on the count he was born with a broken leg and was not given the time for it to heal. Zeus had found him and offered him back into the Olypian pride and he accepted but Thetis was his right hand and helped him out when he needed it. He also grew a deep hatred for Athena. Name: Hades Meaning: The Invisible Occupation: God Of The Underworld Personality: Hades is dark, morbid, and stern. He could be at times unpitying, or even cruel, but he is always just in his decisions. He is not an evil God as many seem to think, but instead a God in a 'darker' position than most. He shows intense passion and love, but usually only toward his wife and queen Persephone. Relation To Olypian: He is god of the Underworld ( We could make that into a rival pride if you'd like ?) History: Hades is the eldest son of Rhea and Kronus and was given the underworld as his realm. Hade's has barely any friends and mainly enimies but he is the god of death so its not surprising that he has no worshipers. Bio: He is the ruler of the Underworld, and is used by the living lions to scare the cubs into behaving. He lives a sad existence, and his wife/mate is Persephone. He has no known living sons or daughters. Name: Poseidon Gender: Male How was He or She connected to the olympians: Son of Gaia and Kronos, Brother to Zeus and Hades Bio: He is the ruler of all the oceans, and he helps the pride when droughts come. No known wife/mate or living children. He is loved by all the cubs in the pride and is a loyal lion, helping his brother, even with all the arguments.

Name: Apollo Gender: Male How He/She is Connected to the Olympians: The god of the sun, poetry and medicine, Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto and younger twin brother of Artemis. Bio: Apollo was born of an affair between Leto and Zeus, he was the younger twin. As a young cub, he would often show an intrest in healing and shaman medicine as well as making up verses to amuse himself whilst Artemis hunted.

Bio: She and her younger twin brother were born of an affair between Zeus and Leto. From an early age Artemis showed an affinity for hunting and could bring down samml animals before most of her siblings. For a reason she has never explained, she has vowed never to have a mate.

Alright Athena, Kronus and Zeus's Bio Name: Athena Meaning: Goddess of War and Wisdom Personality: Known for her strength in battle and able to come up with battle plans with in seconds. She is incredibly smart thinks off her feet, she is a strong warrior but is also kind to others beneath her. She is known for not falling for any of Aphrodite's spells of love and is considered independent. How he or she is related to Olypians: She is the first and favored daughter of Zeus. History: Was born from Zeus's first wife and was pronounced to be Zeus's favorite daughter. Even though she is the goddess of war, she was never one for wara infact she fought to prevent war between other clans so that her and her fellow clan members remained alive and well. She is also known to have a growing rival war with Poseidon. Name: Zeus Meaning: God Of Thunder Personality: A great leader and is known for helping other gods, he is one who relies on the storms power to fight but don't let him fool you he can fight just as well without. He is also a wise lion who gives advice to those who are in need of it. Relation to Olypians: Is the king of the gods (apart from Gaia) History: Zeus rules over the pride for many years having beautiful children along the way. His wife and mate is Hera and he is known to have a favorite out of his children named Athena. He is proud of her independent ways and witts. He has a brother named Hades who constantly fights agenst him but triumph's through most battles. Name: Kronus Meaning: Titan ( I think XD) Personality: Is ruthless. He will kill his own offspring for his own selfish reasons. Kronus is cruel and does not care for the feelings of others not even his own wife Rhea. He has no morals once so ever and will do anything to win or get his way. Kronus is careless and only thinks for himself. Relation to Olypian: Is the father of Zeus History: Is the mate to Rhea, father of Zeus. Zeus had many other siblings but they never saw the light of day on the count Kronus killed them all. Zeus's life was spared thanks to Rhea who ran off with him away from Kronus so he could live his own life. Years later he was imprisoned by Zeus and trapped for years for his own hateful deeds.

(Carried on) Personality: Mean, spiteful, nasty, a bully and vicsous. History: His parents abandoned him as a cub, they saw evil in him... he survived on his own and became strong and powerful. If he'd wanted to, he could take over any pride he wanted, but he didn't, being a king ment being with other lions- who he hated. He lived as a rogue around the pride, occasionally picking off a cub and killing it, not because he was hungry, just because he was horrible. He became a big enemy in the pride, everyone hated him, but no one dared to battle him, they wouldn't stand a chance! More to come soon.
