Mlope usually didn't help someone when they needed it. He thought that
he would get dirty or hurt if he tried. One day he was walking along
and he saw a cub walking on a log. Underneath the log were crocodiles.
He cept on walking but then he heard a scream. he looked but at the
log and saw that the cub had fell off the log and into the mud. The
crocodiles were going to the cub but she was stuck in the mud. Mlope
wanted to help her. He didn't even know why. He felt different than
when other cubs needed help. He came running down scratching legs and
making his feet dirty. He grabbed a vine and reached it to the cub.
She grabbed onto it and Mlope them pulled her out of the mud and saved
her from the crocodiles. They became friends but then one day Mlope
couldn't find her. He searched for her everywhere. As an adult he went
off but then some humans came and but him in a cage. They took him to
the city. Mlope shaked the cage until it opened. He jumped off the
truck and ran away to a big tent. He went inside it and saw Emiko. He
didn't know it was her. she didn't know that the lion was Mlope. They
started growling at each other. But then they smelt each other. They
realized who they were. They were very happy to see each other and
Jack decided Mlope could be in the circus. Emiko and Mlope became
mates. |

How they met: Jack soon decided that Emiko needed a partner in her
acts. So one day he and a few other men left to get another lion. Some
of the circus animals knew about this and told Emiko. She was happy
and thought the new lion was very handsome. They did great acts
together, and they both felt for each other. Many actually thought
they were mates because they were partners in the circus. The new lion
told Emiko stories about the pride lands to remind her of their old
home, and one day after a story he asked her to be his mate |
