He has a love for adventure and he can't stay in one place for too long, and he enjoys being a careless bachelor with no attachments or responsibilities. Dislikes: Hyenas, leopards, snakes, being told what to do, being stuck in one place for too long.

------------------------------------

Story: Nigel's parents were killed by hyenas when he was very young, and for a while he had to survive on his own, until he was taken in to a meerkat colony where he lived until he was a teenager, but eventually got himself kicked out when he was caught stealing food several times, and causing all other sorts of trouble in the colony. So, he had to learn to fend for himself from an early age, but thanks to his positive and care free attitude, it didn't turn out to be all that difficult. When Nigel grew into an adult, he decided that he wanted to travel and see new places. During his travels he often got himself into trouble, and one time he almost met the same fate as his parents, but just in the neck of time he was saved by king Kion of the Tree of Life. Nigel was grateful for the lion for saving his life, who, along with his mate queen Rani invited him to stay at the Tree of Life for as long as he liked. He did stay for a while, and became good friends with Kion, but still, his vagabond nature urged him to move on and explore more. After a lot of thinking, Nigel finally decided to bid farewell to Kion, who wished him luck, and the meerkat went on his way. After some time had passed, he bumped into two young lions, called Luca and Allie, who, as it happened, were looking for the way to the Tree of life. When they learned he had lived there, they asked Nigel to be their guide, and explained that they needed to see the pride's healer to get help for Allie's brother who was ill. At first, the meerkat was reluctant, but finally he agreed, and soon, he and the two lions became good friends - even if they did get annoyed by him from time to time.

Relation to TLK: Friend to Kion and Rani.
