Personality: Devious and dashing, Mashaka is a recipe for trouble. She's a very sassy lioness, with crude remarks to back her up in a fight. She’s also very witty, often making smart remarks or snapping at other lions or lionesses. She’s very cunning and manipulative, often using her looks to get her ways. Mashaka is very intelligent, often thinking of different schemes everyday; let them be simple or serious. However, Mashaka is actually a very isolated lioness deep down, and has many secrets that she refuses to share with others due to her past.

History: Mashaka, born as Miniya, is the daughter of Nuka and Kiara. Nuka was the one Scar chose as his heir, over Kovu. As a result Nuka grew into a fine lion with a full main and termite-free fur. He was an excellent heir when it came to seducing Kiara, he was kind and caring towards her (eventually she fell in love with him), but it was merely an act, as he was completely devoted to his mother, Zira’s, plan. Zira’s plan was a success, as she succeeded in killing Simba when her pride ambushed him after the fire. Nuka returned to Pride Rock claiming that Simba had been attacked by rouges, and it was too late to save him. Nala, with a heavy heart passed on the throne to Kiara and Nuka. A few days after that, Nuka and Kiara mated, ensuring that Nuka would have an heir. Then, Zira attacked with her pride, and they took over Pride Rock, and the Pridelands. Nuka’s true colors were revealed to Kiara, but it was too late to change what she did.

Kiara was than imprisoned to Pride Rock with her mother until the cub was born. Eventually, after a few weeks, Kiara gave birth to two cubs two little girls whom she named Miniya and Baya. They expected much of the young lioness, hoping that she would follow in her mother’s footsteps instead of her father’s, while her sister, Baya, was looked down upon because of her looks and close resemblence to Nuka and Zira. However, as the two grew, they were very close, despite their many differences.

As Miniya grew, she was extremely curious and adventurous about the world around her, and was watched closely by her pride. She grew a close bond with Zira, (which Kiara and Nala despised), and often tagged along with the elderly lioness, listening to her stories about how great Scar was, and how Simba was wicked to kill him. Nuka made sure that Miniya and Baya spent little time with Nala and Kiara, wanting them to follow in his footsteps, but despite this, he was more concerned about Miniya, and making sure he made her a suitable heir. Due to this, Nuka spent a lot of time with Miniya, and the two grew a close bond, and Miniya looked up to her father in every way.

Miniya ended up being more like her mother as a teen though personality wise. She didn't share her father or grandmother's intense hate for the world, and enjoyed how she grew up. She was also basically cut off from her mother or grandmother, and spent most of her days listening to Nuka’s teachings with Baya, which bored her to no end. One night Kiara managed to get to Miniya and told her daughter everything the way it truly was. About Scar and Simba, about her father, about Zira, about everything. Miniya couldn’t believe the truth and was disgusted and horrified to know how her life was filled with lies. She soon began to become much mored defiant towards Nuka, and before long was just overwhelmed by her knowledge so she left the Pridelands, just like that. She left without telling anyone, not even giving any hints that she was planning to leave before; she just left in the blink of an eye.

As she journeyed, she decided to rename herself Mashaka, hoping to start a new life and to leave her past one behind.
