Personality: She is kind and loving, and is very welcoming. She is tough though, and is able to look after herself after growing up with Kopa as a rogue. She enjoys humour and is often sarcastic, and joking around is her life, as long as she doesn't hurt anyone as much as annoy them a little.

Likes: Kopa, Pridelands, cubs, succeeding, living life to the fullest , humour, telling/hearing stories, laughter

Dislikes:  Disappointing anyone, Outlands, failing, being bored, when good times are over
 

History: Mayla was separated from her pride at a young age, and spent most of her childhood roaming the savannah, searching for her family. On one of these searches, she came across a glorious land known as the Pridelands. She was taken in by the king and queen, and was to be given to one of the lionesses to be cared for.

She became friends with the lion cubs in the pride and in surrounding areas, like Maua, Zawadi, Sambi, Vitani, and in particular, Kopa. Kopa was her best friend of them all, and they were very close. She was also close with Vitani, but not as close.

Kopa had the burden of being the next king put on his shoulders, and he felt as though he wasn't ready for the responsibility, so he ran away from his home, and Mayla followed him. In the meantime, Simba had exiled Zira and her lionesses after a failed attack on him and his family, and the whole pride was in despair because of the disappearance of Kopa and Mayla.

The two cubs lived by themselves for a long while, occasionally living with a pride before travelling again, and grew up away from the Pridelands. During their absence, Kiara was raised to be the queen, although she didn't really want to be, and Kovu was being trained to assassinate the king. After they heard of Zira's planned war against the Pridelands, they decided they needed to return home. By the time they returned, the war was over, Zira was dead and the prides were united. The pride was overjoyed at their return, and Kopa became Simba's official heir, and soon became king, choosing Mayla as his queen.
