hey everyone i read that kopa's book was released in 1994 the same year as the movie came out for the very first time so thats the truth fluffy is kopa

Guys Kopa is not a real character made by Disney he is a fan based character of Fluffy, the people who wrote the books had no connection to Disney at all, actually I read that Disney did refuse to publish those books due to the facts were not what they wanted

I personally think that he didn't die, but he is a real character, and here's why. Think about it, the end of the lion king, the birth scene was different to the begining of the lion king 2. Possibility that "Fluffy" was origionally going to be Kopa, but disney decided not to do that. This is where it might get a little complicated. Before the begining of the lion king 2, this is when Kopa was still growing up. Begining of the lion king 2, Kopa is still alive, they just don't show him when Kiara is born. Before we see Kiara come running out of the cave near the begining, Kopa meets Vitani, falls in love, Zura sees and "kills" Kopa, Simba finds his son's body, then its a while after when Kiara comes running out of her den to play near the begining. Simba is overprotective over Kiara after the "death" of his son. While the lion king 2 goes on, Kopa is healing from his wounds, is NOT dead, survives, then eventually decides to return back home. After the end of the lion king 2, right after what they don't show you, Kopa returns, He and Vitani become mates, become king and queen, have cubs, ect. The end.
That, of course, is my opinion of what happened, everyone can have their own opinion, and I am not trying to change anyone's opinion, I'm just saying what I think happened. I mean, disney is not known for killing the hero/heroine of the story, and I think the only main characters who died in the lion king 1 and 2 are Mufasa, Taka (aka Scar), Zira and Nuka, no one else. This, once again, is my opinion. I may have missed one or two, but that doesn't matter. All I am saying is that I don't think Kopa died, just got knocked unconsious for a while.

why is it not coming out to theaters? i dont understand like when i heard about it i was so confused.it would be cool if they made a new one where he comes back. but still y not i mean really y?

Some prefer him over Kiara. In part, that is okay because, when reading the Six New Adventures or reading fanfics that have Kopa in it for one reason or another. Handling a character who doesn't exist in the movie universe is easier than dealing with a character who was in the movie, whose, well, character, was completely distorted or messed up for lack of a better word. Some prefer the non-existant, but should-have-been son over the daughter we get in Simba's Pride.

There's no real harm in that. None whatsoever.

The creation of fan family trees with Kopa in it as Simba and Nala's son, along with Kiara being Simba and Nala's daughter and Kopa's sister is also okay too. It's the fan's interpretation.

As much as I would have loved to see Kopa in the movies... we as fans *shrugs* have to see what Disney brought us with Simba's Pride.

But guys, seriously, this is why fanfiction and fan art and fan images are around. With these we create our own TLK fan based universe. We step into a reality of our own making.

Those three things made by us, the fans, can right the 'wrong' Disney made when Simba's Pride came out. And there were a lot of them, but that's another story entirely.

In the fanfiction world, the name Tanabi appeared in a fanfiction series called The Tales of Tanabi by Joshua Templin and again later in The Chronicles of the Pridelands by John Burkitt and Dave Morris. Now, the name Tanabi is used in many Lion King fanfictions and is more common than Kopa mainly because that name is only mentioned in The Six New Adventures series, but lately the name is used in fanfiction.

Any ideas that Kopa was killed by Zira and therefore is the reason she and her followers were banished is just speculation, but it is what some people go with, others not. Speculation = fan ideas.

You want to say Kopa exists? That's all well and good. He exists in The Six New Adventures, fan art, and fanfiction. Not in the movies. Some people wish he did. That's okay. But the reality is, he simply did not.

Carson -- There is no movie about Kopa coming to theaters. He does not exist in the movie universe. He only exists in The Lion King: The Six New Adventures books that came out after the first Lion King did. Anything you see in the form of videos on Youtube are just fan made videos. Nothing more.

The cub at the end of the first movie was GENDERLESS. In other words it could be either male or female. Before The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride came out with a daughter, nearly every fan believed that Simba and Nala had a son (because it looked male, though there really is no proof of that), an UNNAMED cub.

The name Kopa appeared in the Six New Adventures series as mentioned above.

But Dover! There is no actual proof that the cub at the end of TLK was a boy! And besides the creaters of TLK 1 weren't intending on making a sequel so they made the cub at the end of the movie genderless!

I think this is true. Whatever Disney (who, in case you've all forgotten, OWNS THE LION KING!) has in any books or merchandise of TLK is the truth because THEY, the OWNERS, wrote it, so it's true because they created the Lion King in the first place. So if they created Kopa as Simba's first cub to explain that obvious MALE at the end of the first one, then I believe Kopa is an official bloodline cub of Simba and Nala. And of COURSE he was killed by Zira in revenge for Simba killing Scar. And OF COURSE Simba banished her! We all know Simba's a good-hearted King, he wouldn't have killed her when she had three flippin' cubs to care for! It was a good reason to banish all untrustworthy lions in his father's Pride. Get your mind's out of the gutter, people, it's all there in the open for you--KOPA IS A REAL CHARACTER of TLK!

Enough of the rant, let me tell you what I think of awesome Kopa, if you're not too sick of me yet!

Kopa rocks! SON of Simba (who is my favorite Disney character of all time) instead of headstrong, tad-annoying DAUGHTER of Simba? Oh-hoho YES! He even looks like Simba did as a cub--but, get this--with KOVU'S FUR TUFT ON HIS HEAD!! How can you NOT love him? Kopa is AWESOME! WOOT WOOT!

There's also no proof Zira killed him..
