Personality:
Bari has a very layed back attitude towards life. She's like the cool aunt, offering good advice and generally being very mellow, providing others with a fresh perspective and being okay with whatever shenanigans come her way - She is, however, a little weak willed, and isn't afraid to back down on her morals for the sake of survival.
History:
Bari is the older sister to Tama. As cubs, though she would tease her often, Tama really looked up to Bari. She was her older sister and her role model, and she knew that one day she'd want to grow up to be just as strong and cool as she was.
This changed when Scar came to power, however. Bari made the decision to accept and follow him, joining the handful of lioness that chose to do so. Tama was shocked to see her cool, funny, older sister choose to do something so despicable. From that point on, her perspective on her changed.
Once Simba returned to the pridelands, he gave Scar's lioness' an ultimatum: Either denounce Scar and the hyenas, or leave the pride and never return. While many lioness chose to leave, including Zira, Bari chose the farmer - denouncing him in a heartbeat and agreeing to return to normal pride life.
Bari explains this by the fact that she only followed Scar as a means of survival. She didn't see him as all that great of a leader, or the rightful king to the pridelands - but when he was king, and the threat of hyenas was looming over them, she was quick to switch sides for her own sake.
Tama is not pleased by this, however, and even though her big sister is "back," and not following in the paw prints of an evil tyrant, she doesn't trust her. At best she had proven she had weak morals, and at worst she still held onto the ideals that Scar had and she was just lying.
Despite her parents concerns, Kusai loves her auntie Bari. She thinks she's really funny, and gives her good advice.
When Kusai ultimately decides she wants to leave the pridelands, with her girlfriend Hesh, Bari fully encourages it. She think it'd be a great experience for Kusai, and if it's what she wanted to do, then she should go ahead with it. Tama and Mheetu, however, are completely opposed to it - and they see this as evidence of her still having bad intentions, and a very heated row broke out between them.
This put immense strain on the family's relationship, and it finally reached it's breaking point, with Bari choosing to leave not long after Kusai.
