Personality: If Samahani is one thing, she's the spoiled princess of her family. After being babied since birth, Samahani has grown used to getting what she wants, and she's not afraid to throw her weight around and make demands. Though her parents love her endlessly, this has only served to make Samahani spoiled in comparison to most cubs. However, she tends to mask this through her charisma; Samahani is quite charming and knows exactly what to say to her parents to get what she wants when she wants it. She's not exactly a poet, but she knows how to put on an act and present herself in a good light, especially in comparison to her brothers. Just like her mother, Samahani has a love of adventure and traveling, and is always eager to explore their new surroundings when they stop to rest. She's full of playful energy, and though she often feigns annoyance with her brothers, she still plays with them and spends time with them. Another trait she inherited from her mother is her cowardice; having been sheltered, Samahani has faced little to no hardship, and so a lot of strange, new situations can be scary to her, even with her sense of adventure. If she's ever in danger, she's quick to run to her parents and brothers for safety and let them deal with it. Furthermore, Samahani is known to hold grudges against others; if you've wronged her in even the smallest of ways, she'll remember it and remain bitter, sometimes even after an apology if she's feeling particularly stingy. Despite all her bravado and seeming dislike of her brothers, Samahani still loves them and her parents, and even if it doesn't seem like it, she will stick by them when it comes down to it.

History:

When Samahani was born, not only was she the youngest of the triplets, but she was also the runt. Born extremely weak and sick, Scarabir and Mchumba feared she wouldn't survive the first week, and so they devoted a lot of their time and attention to her. After the first week passed and she hadn't died, they held onto that hope and continued to take extra special care of her, making room for her to nurse and checking on her constantly day and night. As more weeks passed and the cubs grew bigger and stronger, Samahani slowly pulled through, gaining strength and health. While her parents were both happy at her progress, they still worried about her, and so they continued to take extra special care of Samahani. Though their actions were full of love, it ended up making Samahani especially spoiled, and she became quite used to her parents doting on her and carrying out her various whims.

This translated into her relationship with her brothers; being so spoiled, she often believed herself better than her brothers, and often takes time out of her day to tease and taunt them, fostering quite the competitive spirit amongst the cubs. Though they often argued with one another, at the end of the day they were still siblings and they still cared about one another, even if they didn't want to admit it. Their early cubhood days were spent living in the jungle they were born in, but once they were a few months old, their father decided to travel back to the Pridelands to meet some of their relatives. And so, the small family started journeying back towards the Pridelands, and Samahani grew to love traveling and adventuring, seeing the new sights and smells. Though she wasn't too fond of larger animals, like elephants, she still enjoyed being able to explore and climb trees to see the world better.

As they neared Priderock, some of Shenzi's clan caught wind that one of Scar's sons was returning to the Pridelands. Hoping to enact revenge on Scarabir for the way he'd treated them in the past, they hatched a plan, and when Mchumba left Scarabir and the cubs to go hunting, the hyenas struck. Scarabir managed to protect his sons, but the hyenas managed to snatch up Samahani, and they escaped back to their old hunting grounds, the Elephant Graveyard. There they kept Samahani prisoner, and the young cub was absolutely terrified of the whole situation, as the hyenas played cruel tricks on her and refused to feed her. For days they kept her prisoner, trying to figure out what to do with her when Scarabir and a few of his half-siblings from the Pridelands launched an attack, defeating the hyenas and saving Samahani. She was absolutely grateful for her father's help, and was glad to be out of the clutches of the hyenas, but she would not forget the fear they caused, and she developed a lifelong phobia of hyenas.

Relation to TLK: Granddaughter of Sarabi and Scar, both of her parents used to live in the Pridelands.
