History: Dawn was born around the same time as Simba and Nala. They played together everyday along with other friends such as Tojo and Tama 

One day, Tojo hurt his leg and couldn't play. Dawn looked after him and helped him get better. During this time Dawn and Tojo became very close friends. 

Over the years Dawn had feelings for Tojo but was too shy to tell him. They were together a lot after Simba died. Dawn was extremely sad after Simba's death, and Tojo tried to make her feel better. 

When Dawn was a teenager, Scar was in charge. He put Dawn, Tama, Kula and Nala were the new hunting group and Tojo, Chumvi and Malka were kicked out of the pride so they couldn't take over the pride. 

Dawn and Tojo still met up every night at the border of the pridelands. This is when Dawn admitted her feelings to Tojo. He liked her back and they were soon mates. 

Unfortunately, Scar found out about their secret meetings and forbidden Dawn from see Tojo again. He had Nala stay with Dawn and report to him if she tried to see Tojo. It broke Nala's heart to see her friends sad. Nala snuck Dawn to Tojo and made an excuse for why Dawn wasn't around anymore. Shortly, Nala left to find help. Dawn and Tojo ran away. They found some caves that they made their new home.
