Personality: Neffie is a very sweet tempered and mild lioness. She is known for her soothing voice and calm disposition. Neff is well known for her ability to not ruffle anyone’s feathers. She prefers to keep to herself and is very fond of medicine and healing/helping others. She has an uncanny ability to scold others into obedience without a single threat or change in her sweet approach. 

Relations: Anan Dejen (mate; belongs to Luscience), Areesa (sister in law), Timon’s mother (adopted mom for a short time.) 

Basic Information: Neffie does not recall what happened to her or her parents when she was first born- she was a tiny and weak newborn when she was found by Timon’s mother, abandoned near the jungle. Timon’s mother pitied the tiny mewling cub and took her in, keeping her hidden from the other meerkats who would be panicked if they found her. While affectionate, Timon’s mother couldn’t keep Neffera around forever. When she was just a few months old, Neffera was taken to the borders of a nearby pride of lions and left to their care. There, in Mtoto’s pride, Neffie met the fourth born son and prince of the pride, Anan Dejen. She was originally enchanted by him, but soon found him too temperamental and prideful. She took an interest in medicine and loved to experiment with plants. 

When she was a young lioness, the pride was being bothered inside their own territory by a very angry rhino. Neffera witnessed the legendary battle between Blockhead and the fourth prince, Anan Dejen (who was being assisted by others but was the main opponent of Blockhead). The prince won, striking Blockhead enough times that the rhino relented and fled, though at great cost to the prince. Anan Dejen lost one of his feet, crushed by the rhino, and spent three days and three nights in a coma. Neffera was barely able to wake him with her knowledge. The two spent much time together thereafter, as Neffie cared for the prince and helped him recover from the deadly battle. The two reconciled their cub hood differences and soon became mates. 

Trivia: 

• Timon’s mother named her Neffera (meaning fountain) because of how much she cried as a newborn. 
• Neffera’s nicknames include ‘Neffie’ (which she prefers to use) and ‘Neff’ (used by close relations)
• Neffie is one of two lions who can calm the temperamental Anan Dejen. 
• During his time courting her, Anan Dejen gifted Neffera many bouquets of flowers which he had gathered and arranged himself. 
• Her design was inspired by a cream point rag doll cat. 
• She is extremely long furred and fluffy. 

Relation-Summary: Neffera was cared for as a newborn by Timon’s mother, and was later rejoined into Mtoto’s pride, where she became the healer and soon after the mate of the fourth prince (and future leader) of the pride.
