Personality: The most misunderstood of his brothers; Laurofin has an ill temperament (especially in the mornings) and can get very nasty when things don’t go his way. He hates being compared to his father. Despite his bad attitude, Laurofin does care for those he deems his friends or family, but he has a unique way of showing it (think tough love- always.) He has a jealous streak and is very cunning. He has a silver tongue and can be surprisingly convincing.
Basic Information: Laurofin was the third born son to his parents. Being the look alike to his father has caused Laurofin much anxiety over the course of his life, as he always was pushed to follow in his father’s paw steps more strongly than the others. When time came for him to be judged by the manes and granted his wing, they found him too sly and fixated on getting power. They turned him away, and with that alienated him from his family. His father was the most disapproving since he had wanted badly for his look alike son to continue his legacy. Laurofin’s greatest contribution to the defenders guild was his son, whom went on to be one of the most well respected and beloved of the defenders. Not too long after his son’s birth, Laurofin’s mate decides to leave him. He thus became estranged with his son and instead focused on one of his younger brothers, Benedorm. The two got along surprisingly well but too often brought out bad habits in each other.
When his brother Benedorm becomes a defender and is assigned to the pride lands, Laurofin follows him. As the two arrive they are welcomed by Scar and introduced to the pride’s lionesses. One in particular, Nala, begins to spend much time with Benedorm, and his golden brother quickly falls for her. Laurofin doubts her sincerity but Benedorm won’t listen to him. The golden brother helps the lioness escape, only to have her return with her old friend Simba in tow. The two attempt to take down Scar but Laurofin and Benedorm don’t allow it. They spend many days arguing with the new couple that Scar is a royal himself and since Simba has been away (and they don’t even believe him to be Simba at all), he had no right to anything. Eventually the brothers hear orders from the Guild that they ought to help Simba and so begrudgingly do. Later, Benedorm insists on his feelings for Nala who admits the ugly truth, that she had used him, and leaves the golden lion blazing. Benedorm abandons his Post against orders and returns to the guild with Laurofin. Both brothers are punished by Mwenye for not doing their duty, and so the two keep a low profile until Kanu’s return. At the sight of the former leader the two brothers become the chief instigators of bad blood between the quickly forming factions. Both Laurofin and Benedorm support Kanu’s return to power.
Trivia:
His design is a mixture between his brothers Mae and Benedorm.
His mane has red flecks in it.
Laurofin was often mistaken to be his father in the daylight (he clearly isn’t in the twilight as he doesn’t have a wing).
His son went on to become a beloved member of the guild and a well known defender.
Laurofin hates the manes for having denied him his wing, and to a certain extent believes them to be nothing but liars who have convinced others of their nonexistent might.
He is the shortest of all his brothers.
Summary-Relation: Laurofin, a member of the defenders guild, accompanied his defender brother to the pride lands where the two attempted to stop Simba from reclaiming his throne under the impression that he is not who he says he is.
