Personality: Kind but brave, agressive if she needs to protect her cub. Careful, alert and always ready to act. Smart and strong. Has a soft side that showed more since Malaizi was born.

History: Zira was so angry, Scar was dead and the only son she gave him was Nuka, an useless lion. So she found another male to mate and gave Scar a male heir, she doesnt even bother to get to know him first, all she was looking for was a strong and big male, and when she found it, they mated and then never saw him again. Then Zira had two cubs but sadly both were females. It was Vitani and Irina. Zira was so frustrated that she ran away to find a distant pride and steal a male cub, then took him back and raised him as her own (Kovu).
This was the "happy family" where Irina was born. Her mother Zira was distant, cold and always mad. She and her sister Vitani they both knew about her "revenge plan" but never really formed part of it. She was friends with Vitani and Kovu but Nuka was always mocking of them, so they were not friends but still Irina didn't hate him either, after all he was her big brother.
Time passed and with the years Zira became even more angry, vengative and desperated. Now that she couldn't have cubs anymore she was pusshing their sons and daughters to gave her more "soldiers". Nuka had two girlfriends Lira and Tiffay, but Zira wasn't interested on Nuka's kids he himself was too lame. Kovu had no time for outsider girls because he was still thinking on princess Kiara. Vitani had some options but it was too afraid to try it. Irina met a lonely lion named Uriel and fell in love with him madly. Zira allowed it, hoping the cubs they may had could help her with her revenge against the priderock. But when Irina got pregnant Uriel started to talk about different plans. He dreamed about running away and starting a pride with Irina, both could raise their cubs very far from the war of the outlands and the priderock. Irina liked the plan too, but Zira found out and didn't like it at all, that stupid lion was planning breaking apart the "outlands". She got very mad and decided she was not going to let that happen. One night while Irina was still sleeping, a lioness said to Uriel that Zira wanted talk him. He kissed Irina's forehead and came out of the den. Zira took him far enough form that place and then 10 outlanders came after him. He fought as long as he could but finally they defeat him. He was laying down on the ground very hurt and Zira approached to him. " Why?"- he could barely said.
"Poor Uriel, you still didn't get it dont you? This is my land! And everyone on it belongs to ME!" -she roared and bited his neck. Uriel died.
Irina woke up that morning feeling strange, dizzy, sick, weak. She was looking for Uriel but never found him. Zira told her he was too afraid of being father and had abandoned the pride. Irina knew Uriel he would never do that so, she realize the only reasons why he would not came home it was...
She cannot prove but always suspected her mother had something to do with Uriel's death, still it she was devastated for that. Her heart was broken in two pieces and it will remain like that forever.
Still Irina never gave up of life, she still had their cub and for both, she needed to raise and protect it of all. 
Her half-brother Nuka died while he was chassing Simba and tried to make Zira proud, Irina was not in that ambush because of her pregnancy. The news of that tragedy make them feel devastated especially Vitani and Irina who loved their brother. Also for Huzuni, Nuka's cub, he was an orphan. Irina tried to help and found some food for the cub anytime she could but she had her own problems.
The time completed and Irina gave birth to a beautiful little girl, she named her Malai but Zira insisted the cub must have her name at least a part of it, Irina tried to pleased her mother so the cub could be safe on that lands, so she named her Malaizi.
By then Zira and the outlanders had a war with the pridelanders (TLK 2) Irina wasn't on the fight cause she just gave birth recently. At the end Zira fell into a River and everyone thought it was death. But some loyal lions of her pride went to search for her and found her very far from the pridelands. They took her and helped her to heal, then returned her to the outlands without anyone on the pridelands knew Zira was still alive. They kept her in secret and  even some lions talked to Simba to said they wanted return to live on the outlands because they missed their "home" Simba allowed it since the number of lions on the priderock was too big now and maybe without Zira and Nuka, there was finally no more enemies for the royal family.
Zira was recovering on the outlands and meanwhile seem sattisfied with Irina's cub. But as soon as Malaizi started to grow Zira saw the cub was useless for her plans. Malaizi was sweet and tender wasn't even interested on games of fights, she chassed insects but never hurt them, she liked to see the  shape of the clouds and she was happy and smiling all the day. Zira got sick of her and started to look at her  on a different way, also used to growled everytime she saw her. Irina noticed that, and fearing the "kindness" of her kid was "too much" for the outlands she decided to ran away from the outlands before lossing at her cub too. One night she tried to sneak out in silent but Zira saw them and ran after her. "Traitor!!"-she yelled.
Irina ran with Malaizi in her mouth and to stop her Zira cut Irina's left arm, but this wasn't enough to stop Irina so Zira jumped at her and made her bleed with her claws stuck on her left leg, Irina resisted the pain all she could to avoid scream this could make Malaizi fall. She kicked her mother on her head and Zira fell, she was still injured and was kind of old by now so Irina's kick it hurt enough to make her leave it. Irina kept running a while after that, even she was injured the love for Malaizi made her continued. Then rested a little to start heal her injures. "Are you ok mommy"- Malaizi asked with those shiny big eyes.
"Yes my baby, I'll be fine now that I know you're safe" -She hugged and kissed her little cub.
After a few days Irina tried luck on the pridelands, she knew it was peace on that place so they may allowed her to stay even she looked like an outlander. Simba allowed her to stay for a while.
Kovu saw her and recognized her but didnt say a thing, didn't want Irina was judged only for being Zira's daugther and he was glad to see her okay. Irina met her sister Vitani again and they were very happy to see each other (still noone knew Irina was also Zira's daughter, they say she and Vitani were only friends of childhood). On the priderock was also Tiffay(one of the girlfriends of Nuka) and had a cub named Kirita that even noone suspected it, Irina knew it was Nuka's child. Tiffay also recognized Irina but didnt say a thing because if she said something then she must explain how she knew Irins and maybe someone could guess who was the father of her Cub. That way, Irina managed to keep living on the pridelands for a while, she knew Zira would never put a paw on the pridelands so that make her feel safe and now finally, she can be happy.
