Background: Born to parents unknown, she was found by Musa and Salina of the Grasslands. They took her in along with all the cubs they found after Scar's Reign came to an end. When Musa died from an accidental snake bite, Salina and the other lionesses walked in search of food. Hyenas attacked the pride and Lula was separated from Salina. After running through the desert all night, she fell asleep in an Oasis. Nudged awake by another lion cub, he introduced himself as Kopa. He accidentally fell into a raging river in a terrible trying to run away from Zira who threatens to kill him in revenge if she caught him. Kopa showed her his sources of food and water and as the two grew, so did their love. When Lula realized they were expecting, they decided together to raise their cub where food was more plentiful in the Grasslands. A little female cub was born they named Kesa, their pride and joy. As she grew, food became scarce after a terrible drought. Lula and Kopa lost their cub on a hunt after the stampede of wildebeests forced them to hide. They searched for their cub for weeks but was unsuccessful until Vitani and a group of lionesses spotted them and told them that Kesa was at Pride Rock. When they arrived, she and Kopa greeted Kesa who was happy to see them alive and meet the rest of Kopa's family. Lula was beyond shocked to learn her mate was the lost prince and Kopa kept it secret, but she soon understood. She was just glad to have a family again and be in a safe place to call home.
