But nonetheless, he still made a way to have fun with his friends getting into mischievous adventures. Whenever Kovu needed help or advice about something, Tamu amongst others stood by Kovu's side no matter what. Tamu even covered for Kovu once when he left that time to be with Kiara and getting to know her more by gaining Simba's trust. Later on, when Kovu and Kiara joined the prides, Tamu of across followed and starts his new life in the Pride Lands.

There, he meets a beautiful lioness named Pendo. Things sparked up quickly between the two, it was love at instant sight. Tamu had only grown jealous once after watching Pendo getting secretly close to another male lion, her childhood best friend Zamrez. Although Pendo kept telling Tamu that they are just childhood besties, Tamu still felt that something else was there. So, he ended the relationship because of that. Pendo was hurt at first but quickly gotten over it after finding herself being with Zamrez is true. Things felt more right with him and she finally believed it.

Tamu was the most hurt in the end, noticing how his prediction about the two was indeed true and how Pendo moved on so quickly had crushed him. But soon, he was able to move on too with his childhood friend "Sauti". The two are both from the Outlands and when she had finally confessed her feelings to Tamu, he was indeed shocked. He never knew how much she felt about him. If he had known earlier, maybe he would'nt of wasted his time with Pendo. Sauti promised Tamu that she is in for the long run and had surely indeed proved it by granting Tamu two cubs, living a happy life in the end. Eventually, Tamu and Pendo rekindle their friendship. It took some time to repair, but they've managed.
