Likes/dislikes: Deep in his heart, Sakhr truly loves to help animals in need. He also loves hearing stories, learning and hearing about the Circle of Life. He doesn't like caves and hates leopards.
Personality/bio: Sakhr was born and raised in a cave, and for a long time he was forbidden to know the outside because his parents told him it was very dangerous. Even during his parents' sleep, he could not leave because he was under constant watch; he knew absolutely nothing of the outside world...
Until one day the worst happened, an animal he had never seen killed the cave watchman during the night, and advanced to kill Sakhr and his parents. The animal was skinny, but agile, and as he grew he learned that the animal was a leopard. As Sakhr could not defend them, he fled out of the cave and ran as fast as he could. He soon collapsed under a large tree and as he woke up, he saw another different, ancient animal taking care of him.
Sakhr learned that her name was Karibu and that she was an extremely old baboon. He grew to love her as if she was his own mother and she tried to teach him everything he needed to know about life, but she told him that if he wanted to learn more it would be best if he went to the Pridelands, where the lions lived.
He spent a lot of time under the company of the old baboon; however, on a cold night she died serenely of old age under the stars. Heartbroken, he said goodbye to his foster mother and felt in his heart that it was time to find this Pridelands of which she had spoken.
When Sakhr finally arrived, the king curiously asked him what he was doing there and the young lion said he needed to find and talk to a baboon named Rafiki. He learned that Karibu's cousin was the retired shaman of the pride and that he arrived in a great time. The lions of the pride were touched by the story of the young lion and, with open hearts, they taught him about the Circle of Life and how he could take care of himself.
Rafiki was also astonished by Sakhr's shamanistic powers and he offered himself as his mentor to further improve his skills. It didn't take long for Sakhr to be named the new shaman of the Pridelands and he was dearly respected by the King and Queen, as well as all the other members of the pride, especially Obi, with whom he had a very strong, almost spiritual connection. Sakhr would always listen to his outbursts and ramblings, being a friendly shoulder and being there whenever Obi needed it, either to help or to distract him from his bad thoughts.

Relation to TLK: Raised by Rafiki's cousin, Karibu; Rafiki's pupil and new shaman of the Pridelands, close friend to Scar's son
