Story: Darius and his sister Zendaya were born a year after Kion and Rani were crowned king and queen of the Tree of Life. Darius was the oldest, so he was destined to become the next king after his father, and this was very exciting for the young cub. As a cub he was very eager to learn, and felt huge pride about being the prince. But things took a huge turn when Darius was reaching his teens, when he became more aware of his role, and turned into a cocky, self centered and obnoxious young lion. What made things worse was when he was attacked by a komodo dragon who scratched his left eye, leaving it completely blind. This changed Darius a lot, loosing is eye turned him into a distand and reserved lion, and he started snapping at his sister for even the smallest of reasons and going into rage attacks for no reason. This worried Kion a lot, and reminded him of what the venom in his scar did to him when he was Darius's age, so he and Rani started wondering what they could do to help their son, without having to banish him from the Tree of Life. When Darius and Zendaya had become young adults, Rani suddenly gave birth to a male cub, as a total surprise to the whole pride. Their new little brother was named Fritz, and the cub adored his older siblings and followed them around everywhere - especially Darius. His parents were a bit conserned, because of his unpredictable nature, and they feared he might snap at his little brother if he got annoyed enough. However, while Darius did find it annoying most of the time, he eventually started to warm up to him, and playing and spending time with his little brother actually caused Darius to start becoming more mellow and laid back. One day Darius was babysitting Fritz, when his nose caught a weird scent. It was a scent he'd never smelled before, an ominous one, so he told Fritz to stay low in the grass. Darius kept looking around, when he saw some figures approaching them - and when he turned his head, there they were: couple of poachers, with their guns aiming at the two lions. Darius grabbed Fritz from the scruff of his neck and ran, with the poachers high on their trail. A fire was shot, Darius roared from pain and fell to the ground, realizing he had been shot in the left shoulder. Fritz tried to come to his aid, but he ordered him to run, and started leading the poachers away from his brother. Darius ran, even though he could barely stand up, and when he was finally convinced that his pursuers had given up, he collapsed under a tree. After resting for a while, Darius continued, bleeding badly, when he saw a dark brown lioness getting a drink from a pond. He approached her, and she was starteled by the scars on his face, he pleaded her for help, and fell unconcsious to the ground in front of her. Three days later, Darius awoke in a den, and the lioness he had encountered was sitting by him. She had carried him to the den, and his wound had been treated by the Prideland's shaman, Rafiki. The lionesse's name was Anisha, and for the passing days, she helped Darius get better by bringing him food and such, and while he would never admit it out loud, he had started to like her - and decided to hide the fact that he was a prince from her. As Darius's strength grew back, so did his feelings for Anisha, and his heart was now pulling to two directions: Part of him wanted to return home, and another part wanted to stay with Anisha.

TLK relation: Kion and Rani's son, Simba's grandson.
