Personality: Fun loving, adventurous, mischievious, protective toward his sister, brave, a little bit rebellious.

Story: Jelani and his younger twin sister Atiena were born to a lion couple living at the outskirts of the Pride lands, called Mchumba and Odette. Their mother Odette already had one daughter, Johari, and their older half sister absolutely loved getting two little siblings. They loved playing and doing everything together, and Jelani never saw Johari as a half sister, to him she was just as much his sister as Atiena was. Because they were twins, Jelani and Atiena had a specially close bond together, but in time Jelani got maybe a little too over protective towards his sister. He also had a close relationship with both his parents, but especially with his father Mchumba he had a very deep and loving connection. Jelani absolutely adored his father, and wanted to grow into a lion like him - in fact, Mchumba even told him that he was just like him when he was a cub: wild, adventurous and even a little rebelious, but still kind and caring. One day, Jelani and Atiena were playing on the savannah when Jelani suddenly thought of going to explore the elephant grave yard - which was exactly what their parents had told them NOT to do. They found themselves attacked by hyenas, and Atiena even got hurt, but as Jelani tried to fight off the hyenas and get his sister to safety, their father appeared and scared the hyenas off. He carried Atiena home, Jelani walking behind him, and while Odette looked after his sister, Mchumba pulled him aside to have a heart to heart with him. Poor Jelani blamed himself for his sister getting hurt, but Mchumba comforted his son, he was disappointed that they didn't listen to him and Odette, but he was also proud of him for defending Atiena so bravely. From that day on Jelani swore to be the best big brother ever, and to protect his sister from anything.

Relation to TLK: His mother is Zira's adopted daughter.
