Personality: Slightly bitter and salty, Mzigo is aggressive and crude, even as a cub. These violent impulses are fueled by his mother's attitude towards him, who's usually treating him as pest because of her unfulfilled love life. However, he has a kind and caring side, inherited from Tiifu's sane youth. He would rather hide this aspect and act all tough and careless.

History: Mzigo was born from a forbidden relationship: an affair, between Kovu and Tiifu. During the lioness's pregnancy, the king decided to give up on it, because he didn't want to startle useless conflicts in Kiara's pride and also, the feelings he had towards the freckled female were nothing more than passive interest, based on her beauty and his boredom. Hurt and betrayed, Tiifu changed her personality completely. She became crude, careless and cold, not only towards Kovu, but also to her cub. She, however, decided to act like her old self towards Kiara so she wouldn't startle suspicion. Fooled by her best friend's fake act, Kiara decided to give Mzigo the duty of her and Kovu's son's protective guard.
