Personality: Jabali is a very peaceful, friendly lion who's only goal in life is to ensure peace for his friends and family. All his life, he's been a very calm, level-headed guy who doesn't like fighting of any sort, and works as the peace maker among his family. While he prefers no arguments, he knows sometimes that it's a natural part of life, and so choose to intervene only when he feels necessary. Jabali is a very friendly guy as well, in which he isn't quick to judge, however this can lead to him trusting too easily, a negative effect if they try to double cross him. He isn't necessarily naive-in fact many see him as a very wise person-but he tends to trust others far too quickly. However, this trusting personality comes in handy when dealing with cubs. He absolutely adores cubs, and a lot of them say he's their favorite playmate, due to him feeling like a cub at heart. He cares greatly for his friends and family, and is there to lend a shoulder to lean on if they need it. Most of the time, he doesn't present a very joking personality, but if the time is right and he's around family, he does like to tease his brothers or joke with his sister. When Jabali is passionate about something, he tends to take great interest, but when it has to do with something he doesn't really care for, he tends to visibly appear disinterested and doesn't do much work, which makes some people label him as lazy, however when he's working for something he loves, he's a very hard worker.

Jabali was born the last of Moto and Asali's cubs in their second and final litter. As a cub, he was quite small, but Moto knew he'd prevail, and gave him the name Jabali. Growing up, Jabali was generally a lot quieter and less rowdy than the other cubs. Moto noticed his behavior, however thought his son was more serious then his previous sons, and thus saw nothing wrong with him. Jabali grew up around his siblings, and was very fond of each, though he tended to find Maembe a bit annoying at times. When the time came, he began training to be a protector, just as his brothers and father had been. However he found himself disinterested in fighting, and tended to fail when practicing, or he grew distracted when patrolling. Moto wasn't sure what was wrong with his son, and discussed it thoroughly with Asali before she pointed out that perhaps their son shouldn't be a protector. Aghast, Moto refused to believe, until over time his son showed no more qualities of being a good fighter or protector.

Moto finally admitted defeat, and talked with his son about what he would prefer to do. Jabali then told his father that he didn't mind looking after cubs, and thus he began training to be a cubsitter by the lionesses. Moto wasn't sure of this at first, and didn't really like the fact that his son chose to watch cubs rather than fight with tooth and claw, but over time he's grown used to it. As Jabali aged along with his sister, he often became the buffer between his siblings when they argued, and did his best to keep the peace between them. It worked out fine for the most part, however Jabali over time gave up trying to calm Maembe down, due to his brother's quick temper and stubborn nature, and thus left him to figure out his own problems. When they were older, Jabali's sister, Alba, took in a young orphaned cub she named Nyimak. Jabali took great fun in watching over the cub when Alba was unable, and he's grown to really like Nyimak.

He was soon given more charges in the form of his newly born nieces and nephews-Mtoto, Thambo, Auri, and Wakuu. He was more than happy to babysit all his nieces and nephews while their parents attended business, and he maintained a close relationship with all of them. When his father passed away, Jabali too was distraught, but was able to come to terms with it rather quickly. His mother and brother, however, seemed to be the opposite. Knowing Hiari would take care of Maembe, Jabali looked after Asali instead, knowing his mother was growing older, and after her mate's death, she had been more irritable and distant. He looked after her, making sure she was healthy and well fed as well as taking her out to socialize so she could get better.
