Personality: Jelani is a brave lion but also shy and sometimes needs more self-confidence. He's also afraid of hurting those he loves, as when his little sister was born. He's also protective and is always there for his family, friends and pridemembers.

History:

Months after the war between the Pridelands and the Outlands, Simba and Nala stepped down giving the throne to their daughter, Kiara, and her mate, Kovu. Not long after Kiara gave birth to two healthy and strong cubs. The oldest, a female, would become the future queen and was named "Amina", the youngest cub, a male, would become the future leader of the Lion Guard and was named "Jelani".

Months flew by and Jelani's uncle Kion, the current Leader of the Lion Guard, teached him how to be a Lion Guard and how to pick your team. Ofcourse Jelani didn't knew many cubs and didn't wanted strange lions in his guard as he wants members he can trust from the start. During his free time he played with his sister getting both cubs in trouble, or only himself. 

When he became a teen his mother gave birth to a third cub, a female named Subira. Jelani had to get used to having a baby sister around and wouldn't come near her as he was afraid he could hurt her, since she was so much smaller than him. When she grew Jelani would mostly send her to their sister because he didn't know how to handle cubs. One day, while he had formed his Lion Guard, one of his members informed Jelani that his sisters where in danger. Jelani send the fastest to Pride Rock to get Kovu and Kiara while he and the other members rushed towards Amina and Subira. Jelani went to his uncle Kion saying his not worthy being the Leader of the Lion Guard as his sisters were almost killed. Kion told his nephew that they were safe and the hyena's were chased off and that's most important. "You can't keep your eye on everyone Jelani don't push yourself to your limit, if you weren't worthy the title of Leader of the Lion Guard, you wouldn't have the mark." Those words inspired Jelani. 

Time flew by and soon Kovu and Kiara were looking for a mate for both their oldest cubs.
