Name: Kobe

Definition: Turtle in Swahili

Also referred by: Turtle-tail, Twisted-foot, The shaman, Fuzzy-fur

Species: Caracal

Age: 7 years

Gender: Male

Fate: Alive

Short description: A small, sand pelted caracal with a broken back paw.

Appearance: Cream colored pelt with a lighter belly, chest and muzzle. Slightly darker back and tail tip. Dark grey ears, brown nose and some darker fur on the muzzle. Slender body with small paws and stumpy tail. Sleek paws with a back paw slightly twisted, leaving him limping. Light yellow eyes with dark brown iris.

Personality: Unlike his mentor Rafiki, Kobe is a quiet, moody and sometimes a sarcastic character. Some can describe him to be rude however that is decided by the way others act around him. He rarely shows sympathy to the animals he's helping, saying that he isn't their mother to be licking every scratch they get. Older lions often say that he's dignified, honorable and should be respected because one day he might save their life when the hope could be lost. Although many see him in a negative way he's wise, loyal and reverent to the kings and queens of the pridelands.

Cub: During his cubhood Kobe lived with his mother and sisters for the first year of  his life. Although they did have time for fun most of their days were spent training their survival skills. Not long after the siblings went different ways, leaving their family behind.

Teen: For a while Kobe stayed at the top of the gorge, hunting smaller prey which provided him the challenge of survival which he welcomed. During this time he got caught in an escaping zebra herd who eventually broke one of his paws during his escape. He soon got taken in by an elderly baboon Rafiki who helped him strengthen his remaining three paws. Hunting was proving to be difficult and exhausting  for the young caracal  and  soon the baboon gave him a choice of training to become the next shaman after his death. Although hesitant at first the caracal accepted the request.

Adult:  The elderly baboon joined the ancients not long after the great battle between the outlanders and pridelanders and Kobe took his place as the new shaman. As a thank you for his help lionesses would often bring him small prey which would leave him more time to do his daily duties such as checking his medical herbs and visiting ill members of the pride.
