Personality:

Lai is very carefree and relaxed, and chooses not to stress and instead enjoys the little things in life, and not worry so much about the future. Though it may save him the stress, his future is undecided and he can seem a bit reckless to others. He's also a "lady's man" as a direct result of this recklessness, and moves from one mate to the next. He never seems to hold one down for more than a few months.

History:

During his terrifying reign, Scar found himself needing an heir who would take his position after his death. Because of this, Zira, a lioness of the pride who adored Scar, stepped up to help carry any cubs he desired.

The first cub they had together, Nuka, was born prematurely, and was deemed too weak to ever be king: So, the to tried again, and Lai was born, healthy and strong.

Scar seemed pleased for now, and maid Lai his official heir. he seemed to show genuine love and affection towards his son, playing with him, teaching him how to be a king.... however, as time passed, that attitude seemed to shift. The cub, from his gold coat to his mannerisms, reminded him too much of his brother- and when the cub's striking red mane started to come in, that was the final straw. He accused Zira of being unfaithful, denounced Lai as his son, and sent the hyenas to dispose of him.

Lai barely escaped with his life. He spent much of his teenage years wandering the lands as a rogue, meeting many other lions in a simmilar position to him - before finding a pride to settle into as a young adult.

Lai tries hard to cover up and forget his time in the pridelands. He spent his teenage years forced to act older than he really is, and now as an adult, he wants to just have some fun. he's incredibly layed back, a bit lazy, and a bit of a player. Loves nothing more than sweet talking the lioness of the pride, or lounging about in the sun.

Eventually, under the rule of Kiara, the pridelands reaches out to their small pride in an attempt to join alliances. Lai suddenly has to return and confront the traumas he faced in the pridelands... and well, he'd much rather not do that. He wants absolutely nothing to do with this alliance..... but Kiara's closest advisor, Wasi, leaves him absolutely smitten. She isn't really all that interested in him at first, but she does eventually come around to his dorky flirting. She might be able to convince him the pridelands arent what they used to be, and help him to return.
