Personality: Bwana may look shy when you first meet him, but once you become friends with him, he won't stop hanging out with you. He tends to annoy others at times with his stories about his depressing childhood, though he's usually fun to be around. Bwana stays clear of getting into fights with others, as he fears death and violence. While Bwana is very kind and gentle, he does have his days where his past gets the best of him, which makes him snap and yell at others. Despite all his issues from his past, Bwana learned to keep his head held high and he adores hanging out with lionesses and cubs most often.
History: When Scar had taken over the Pridelands, he eventually realized he needed a heir to the throne once he'd pass away. He chose very few lionesses to mate with to produce healthy cubs. Scar was looking for a strong male cub to take his place. He bred with Sarabi and five other lionesses; and they all produced healthy cubs, but none of them came to be a male. Disappointed and infuriated, he remembered the days when he loved Sarafina. He mated with her, hoping that the cub would be the heir he desired. Luckily, it was. Sarafina gave birth to a strong male cub.
Bwana was very close to his mother when he was younger. Scar was very distant from him, and only got near him if he needed any help with something. Since Scar got very aggressive easily, Bwana stayed far from him. One day, weeks after he was born, Scar grew furious with Sarafina because she didn't want Bwana to be his heir. Immediately, Scar struck Sarafina with his claws. Due to the fact that none of the lioness had much food or drink to live on, Sarafina lost to much blood from the attack and quickly passed away.
When Bwana saw his mother's lifeless body, he grew sad and nuzzled his mother. Scar felt that Bwana was way too close to his mother, and since this made him feel that Bwana thought Sarafina was a more superior parent, Scar quickly banished Bwana from the Pridelands. Bwana had nowhere to go, but he decided to live his life in the elephant graveyard until he could find another place to settle down.
Bwana decided to visit the Pridelands every once and a while without Scar knowing, so that he could speak with Sarabi and give her some food to keep her from starving to death. Though Scar soon came to find out about this, and he threatened Mheetu if he were to even step a foot onto the Pridelands territory, he'd kill every single lioness in the pride. Bwana decided the best option would be to leave the Pridelands, despite feeling that he should just kill Scar and rule the Pridelands himself.
Eventually, Bwana grew weak, since there was very little food and water to survive on in the graveyard. Though, one day, Bwana heard news of the Pridelands being revived of it's natural and beautiful state. Not believing this news, Bwana returned to the Pridelands. When he told Simba that he was looking to find Scar, Simba gave Bwana a closer look, his eyes widening. Simba figured that Bwana was Scar's son; and rationally made the decision to banish Bwana. Shocked and appalled, Bwana left the Pridelands behind, disappointed and grief stricken that his father had given him a reputation.
When Bwana abandoned the Pridelands and left to find a pride to stay in, he ran into a lioness named Nala, who'd been out hunting before. Nala had been a adolescent when Bwana was born, so she never knew of him. Nala and Bwana chatted for quite sometime; and Bwana learned that before he'd been born, Scar produced a previous son with Sarafina, who he killed quickly after his birth due to him being too weak to take his place as king. Nala offered Bwana a place in the Pridelands, but Bwana refused since he had grown to dislike Simba.
Currently, Bwana moves from place to place, as no pride will take him, since he's the son of a sinister lion. Bwana will stop in a particular pride sometimes and play with the cubs. The lionesses adore him. Unfortunately, the leader of this pride refuses to let another male into his pride, as it may wreck his popularity.
Relation to TLK: Son of Scar and Sarafina, sibling to Nala and Mheetu, and was banished from the Pridelands by Simba.
