Story:

Ajabu was born in the Pridelands, the first child of the King and Queen. This meant that he was next in line for the throne, after his father. The whole pride was excited to have a new member.

Ajabu grew up to be a kind, and gentle young lion who was adored by the other pride members. As a young cub, his grandfather Simba would tell Ajabu stories of the old King Mufasa, and his brother Scar, and how Scar killed Mufasa for the throne. Ajabu disliked these stories, as he was scared that this could happen to himself.

Then, his mother became pregnant and Ajabu was excited to be a big brother. He promised his parents that he would take good care of his new sibling, or siblings. Then, soon Kiara gave birth to her cubs, there was two young males. When Ajabu found out, he was excited, he had two younger brothers! His parents named the two new Princes Tamu and Bwana. Ajabu was so excited!

As he and his brothers grew up, Ajabu enjoyed taking care of his brothers. He loved them, and would do anything for them. Ajabu soon had no time for his brothers as he had to go to lessons with his father and mother, but when he had time, he would spend it with his brothers. Then, his mother became pregnant again. She gave birth to another male. Ajabu was excited to have another brother, but promised Tamu and Bwana that he would still love them, and their new baby brother just the same. But as soon as Ajabu met his youngest brother, he felt the strongest connection, not like when he first met Tamu and Bwana.

He walked up to his mother, and peered at the small cub in her paws. Tamu and Bwana followed behind. “What’s his name?” Tamu asked. Their mother licked the young cub, and smiled. “This is Saka, your new brother.”

Ajabu hadn’t really realised it, but Saka and himself became the closest. Saka would call Ajabu ‘AJ’ instead of his full name, and it stuck to Ajabu. So Ajabu decided to make others call him AJ as well, though his parents still preferred to call him Ajabu.

Saka was the troublemaker of the family, and always ran off on adventures through the Pridelands, but Ajabu would tag along so his younger brother wouldn’t get hurt, and sometimes Tamu and Bwana would come too. But it always ended in the boys getting in trouble.
