Story: Born in the Pridelands to King Ahadi and Queen Uru, in a litter of three, he being the youngest. His two older siblings, both being males whom were named Mufasa and Taka. Gani was more closer to Mufasa growing up because of Taka's absence during lessons, but it ended out Mufasa was going to be King anyway; so Gani didn't need to go to lessons anymore; this also meant he could spend more time with Taka. But this didn't go well, in the day Taka was sleeping mostly and in the night he would be awake. It was like Taka was nocturnal or something. Gani sort of understood, the other cubs didn't really like spending time with Taka because of Taka being skinny and small.

A few months passed and Taka then decided to hang out with Gani, saying that he knew how it felt to be neglected by their father. Gani understood more now. Was Taka avoiding the family because no one talked to him or anything? Gani then decided he liked spending more time with Taka than Mufasa. One day Taka toke Gani to see his 'friends'. They met some hyena pups named Banzai, Shenzi and Ed. Gani liked the hyena pups; but unfortunately Mufasa had followed them and knew all about the 'danger' of hyenas. Mufasa had told Ahadi about why Taka had been sleeping all the time and that Gani and Taka had visited the hyenas. Ahadi was furious, his punishment was worse than Gani imagined. His father yelled, and yelled at Taka- then to tell Taka and Gani they were grounded. They didn't mind that much, their father neglected them anyway.

As teens, Taka and Gani spent more time awake in the day trying to impress their father; but still visiting the hyena's in the afternoon- this slowly made Taka mad at their father. The hyena's weren't that bad, were they? One day while Taka and Gani were visiting the hyenas, Ahadi found them. He was more furious than the night Taka and Gani came home from visiting the hyenas. Their father was so mad that he smacked Taka on his face. The screams of his brother defended Gani's ears. Gani grew mad, and attacked Ahadi, but being weaker than his father Gani was killed during the fight. The last sound he heard was Taka's whimpers telling Gani to stay alive, but this wasn't meant to be.

That afternoon, Taka's eye was helped by the monkey Rafiki; and Taka was mad at Ahadi. His father murdered his own son. Ahadi felt ashamed. This was not meant to happen. But from that day on; Taka then changed his name to 'Scar'; and his scar over his eye will remind Scar of what his father had done to him, and his brother.
