History: Since Mufasa wasn't exactly a young lion when he had Simba, I believe he had another litter of cubs before Simba. Matari is the twin brother of his minute-younger sister Cara. After Cara's disappearance when she was but a few months old, Matari felt lost and alone despite being with a large pride. Cara was his buddy, his best friend and the void she left forever haunts him to this very day.

When Matari was almost an adult, he willingly left the pride to start his own family, rather than stay in his father's shadow or possibly overthrowing him. They left things in peace between each other, both going their own ways.

(Possibly will write a fanfiction about his new life and starting his own pride, but for now this is his history.)

Relation with The Lion King: Son of Mufasa and Sarabi; Older brother of Simba.
