Afya was born to a couple of rogues in the Pridelands. They knew they couldn’t care for her as well as a Pride could, so they left her at Pride Rock.

Kovu and Kiara adopted Afya and she grew up with Kafil and Almasi as her friends. She was about the same age as Kafil and she would often help him look after his sister. However, being a girl, she got on better with Almasi as they could get into all sorts of mischief and make Kafil get the blame.

As a teen, Afya and Kafil decided to become mates. They loved each other dearly and would look after everyone in the Pride together.

They made the cutest couple and they just hoped that Almasi would find a mate soon as well.
