Personality: Laini is bossy, rude and sometimes she is a bit bipolar, like if one day she likes something and in the next day she hates everything, she likes to show everything she is capable of and is very competitive. Besides being impatient, and having a somewhat hostile behavior with her sisters, Laini cares a lot about her family and friends, and sometimes she only cares about herself, she never has the same personality, and depending on who she is dealing with Laini shows different behaviors, she is kind and patient with her father, mother, grandfather and grandmother, aunt and etc, but with her cousins, friends and sisters she likes to exercise her dominance to them, reminding them of "who is in charge".

History: After Simba's death, Nala became sad and depressed, and with Kovu's ascension to the throne as the new king he became much more popular with the lionesses, with time, Kovu and Kiara started to become more distant, Kovu didn't loved Kiara the way he once loved, Kiara was still too young and imature for Kovu. One day, Kovu tried to confort Nala who still was very sad because of the death of her husband, after that, Kovu and Nala started to get much more closer, of course when they we're together no one of the pride could know about their relationship. But after a few months, Kiara got pregnant, and so did Nala, but Kiara told all the pride that she was pregnant, but Nala left the Pridelands at the beginning of pregnancy to give birth to the cub outside Pridelands and then no one would suspect anything.

Nala gave birth to her cub a few days before Kiara, and only her and Kovu knew about the cub, Kovu and Nala had made a deal that Nala's cub would be Kovu's heir and future king/queen. When Kiara geve birth to her 2 daugthers Safiri and Azira, Kovu came with Nala's cub in his mouth, and said that he founded the cub and decided to adopt it as his future heir, Kiara and Kovu fought a lot because it, but after many arguments, Kiara accepted to raise the cub but she wouldn't show any kind of affection to her, Nala's cub was a female and Kovu named her Laini, in the next day she has been presented to the pride. And still no one but Kovu and Nala knew about the truth. During this time, Alastor's pride wich was called the West pride was already united with the Pridelands, and Alastor just had his 3 cubs too, he suggested that Kovu's daugthers should be betrothed to Alastor's sons but this would just make things a lot more complicated, so they just decided to raise the cubs from both prides side by side and see what would happen.

Soon, the 3 girls grew up, Kovu trained Laini to be queen, of course, only the king had more rights that the queen, so Kovu betrothed Laini to a lion cub called Jasiri, Kovu also trained Jasiri to be king, Kiara loved and played with her 2 daugthers Azira and Safiri but she still had a hostile behavior to Laini. Besides that Laini loved to be with her father all the time, she wondered why her "mother" didn't loved her, so she grew up being jealous of the attention that Kiara gave to her sisters. With time Laini acquired a very bossy and competetive personality over the others cubs even the cubs from Alastor's pride, she wanted to show that she was the best of all especially for her father, and prove that she is the best option to be queen, so sometimes Laini could be a little brute over her sisters, but she still loved them, all she wanted was to keep them away from her father's "attention zone".

Over the years, Kovu continued training Laini to become Queen, as a teenager she became a rebel and trouble maker, just because she was close to be the next ruler of the Pridelands, she started to think that she could do whatever she wanted, Kovu trained Laini to be "the boss" all her life, but he had forgetten to discipline her. During the begining of the sisters teenagehood, they became a little closer than before, and so did Kovu and Kiara, but Alastor's pride was close to a conflict with the Pridelands. After some months, Kiara became mature enough for Kovu, and the two started to make amends and act like a happy couple again. Soon, after a few months Kiara got pregnant, and gave birth to a little boy. Everyone in the pride was very happy, everyone excpet Laini, she became paranoid and started to think that now with a boy in the royal family she could have chances to lose the throne, besides that Kovu had talked with his daughters about having any chance of him to think better about who should inherit the throne, but Laini would do anything to keep the throne to herself... everything. After a few weeks, the little cub had barely begun his life, and Kiara founded her son's dead body in the savannah, all the Pride got horrified, especially the sisters, but Kiara suspected that Laini could be behind it all, and so did Kovu. After those events, Kovu and Kiara decided to re-think about the throne's ascension, until then, Laini would have no right to inherit anything, and Kovu would think more about his daugthers.

While this all was happening, in Alastor's pride they were getting prepared for a war, they had no food in their territory and the Pridelands didn't helped in anything. In 2 days, the West pride attacked the Pridelands, things looked rough for both prides and after Kovu killed Alastor in the war, the West pride retreated and became enimies with the Pridelands, Kovu and Kiara didn't wanted to have enimies and tried their best to unite the prides again
