Personality: Rena is the perfect model of politeness and standard. Perfectly alert, and always maintaining an air of elegance and grace, she is proper, polite and always carries with authority. She's seen as insensitive, stoic and a total diva. Strict with her cubs, she can at times be seen as an unloving mother, but underneath all that tough love, is a real mother who loves her cubs, even though she doesn't necessarily approve of Ajani's rebellious nature.

Likes: her cubs, order, smooth running of things, being in command

Dislikes: chaos, when things don't go her way, war, seeing her cubs get hurt

History:

Rena was born to a Pridelander lioness and an unknown rogue under King Mohatu's rule. From an early age, her mother pampered her and filled her head with thoughts of perfection. She was told that being a noble lion worthy of being in a pride was all that mattered. Hence, Rena ended up shutting out all emotions and following her mother's lead. But that all changed when she met the King's daughter and son, Ahadi and Hiari.

The two of them, being wild, playful cubs, ended up showing Rena the best thing in life, and of being a cub. Hence Rena ended up splitting into two personalities, the proper obedient cub at home, and a carefree lioness when out with her friends. Eventually her mother found out what went on whenever Rena went out with her friends, and started to restrict their meetings, telling her that Ahadi and Hiari were bad influences. Though this saddened Rena, winning her mother's approval had become her mission in life and she refused when Ahadi suggested telling his father. 

Despite being isolated from her friends and put thropugh intense training, Rena found it hard to leave that carefree, worryless life she had tasted with her friends. Thus, Rena found herself daydreaming about being a normal cub. 

Another pang hit when she found out that Hiari was moving away to another pride due to her betrothal to the King's heir. Though this saddened her to see her friend go, it was another thing that troubled her; her mother had started pressuring her to see if she could be betrothed to Ahadi, and bear him loads of royal cubs. Rena, on the other hand, found no interest of having a mate right then and now, and instead took the opportunity to grow a closer friendship with Ahadi. 

Eventually, Ahadi stumbled upon a rogue named Uru, taking a shine to her and even falling in love with her. Rena wasn't surprised when she heard the news; Ahadi had always been a loose cannon. She expected something like that to happen. But her mother didn't take the news well. This prompted her to search out other prides for a betrothal arrangement.

For the first time in her life, Rena felt offended. It wasn't her mother's life to lead, it was hers. Life wasn't all about raising cubs. It was about living it till your last moments, having adventures, spending time with the ones you hold close to your heart. So, rena did something rebellious for the first time; she snuck out. 

During one of her walks, Rena ended up bumping into a very weak white lion, whom she took pity on and brought him back to Pride Rock. Ahadi, being the kind, generous king he was, let the lion stay. After a while, Rena ended up spending time with him, finding out things about him, such as his name (Kamau), where he used to live (beyond the Northern Mountains), why he left (poachers) and what he proposed to do with the rest of his life. 

She found herself growing closer and closer to him, feeling a bond forming. Her mother though, wasn't very happy with this development, warning her that rogues like Kamau were only useful for cleaning up kills and he would break her heart. Rena, for once, defied her mother and continued to be with Kamau. Sadly, the time came for Kamau to leave, and he slipped away in the middle of the night. 

Rena woke up to an empty space beside her, and her mother comforted her, telling her that she'd been tricked the same way and that Rena should have listened to experience. From then on, Rena became submissive to her mother, following every command and always at her beck and call. But all that changed when she found out that she pregnant.

Rena developed an all new attitude towards her new cub; she was going to follow what her mother said, but she was going to make her cubs love her. One thing for sure, she was going to let her cubs know how much she loved them. 

Soon enough, she delivered a beautiful baby girl, whom she named Sarafina. It was great timing, because right about then, Kamau sent a message that he was coming back, for good this time. Her mother terribly disapproved of this, and constantly told Rena that she would regret this. Surprisingly, she was killed in a fight with rogues.

Rena was saddened, but this brightened up when she saw that she was pregnant again. This time, she gave birth to a baby boy, who she named Ajani. With her cubs, Rena adopted a tough love attitude, teaching them what her mother taught her, yet letting them live life and be cubs. Sadly, Ajani contracted a dangerous disease in his teen years and even with Rafiki's expertise, didn't make it.

Rena then turned her attention to Sarafina, training her on how to be perfect and proper, but still being a mother to her.
