Name: Tale (meaning 'green')
Siblings: Obi, Aida, Takata and Kinaya
Mate: None
Cubs: None
Pride of Origin: Bahari
History: Whereas Kinaya is said to resemble her great-aunt, Naanda, Tale greatly resembles his uncle, Tojo. He is the last born of Kamaji and Adla's final litter and from the moment he is born he is most ignored. His parents love him and his siblings equally and his siblings love him too, but with Takata being the new heir, Kinaya's appearance causing unpleasant memories and Obi's sudden return and the chaos surrounding it, Tale is left in the dust, unremarkable to most of the pride.
Eventually, Tale began acting out, breaking the rules and trying to cause as much mayhem as possible in order to get at least some attention even if it was negative. The only cub he liked to hang around with was Kaidi, solely because he knew (although he didn't know quite why) that she was different and that made the rest of the pride nervous. Perfect, he thought.
Then Takata takes and interest in Kaidi when the cubs are teens and things begin to go downhill fast. Tale had his eyes on her and she was his friend first (although she was friends with his brother too), it wasn't fair that Takata should have her. In anger, Tale attacked Takata and the brothers came to blows and it took both Obi and Kamaji to pry the pair apart.
Obi, sensing Tale's hurt, goes to him first (with his position as heir secured once more, he belives it would be an excellent chance to prove he can solve disputes peacefully) and councels him. Try and woo Kaidi rather than beating on Takata and claiming her as some sort of prize. Tale takes this advice and begins trying in earnest to woo Kaidi, however, Takata soon tries the same tactic and it seems that Kaidi is more receptive to him than Tale. Eventually, Tale snaps again and the two brothers come to blows, this time with Tale earning a nasty set of scars for his trouble.
Finally, Kamaji has to act before his youngest son gets truly out of control. He takes Tale to the borders and deposits him there and telling him that he until he can learn to control his temper, he is not allowed anywhere near the main pride. He isn't exiled, not really, but it's as close as it comes. Kinaya, his mother, his aunts, Kaidi even Obi on occasion all come to visit him from time to time but the time alone just makes Tale feel depressed and moodier than ever.

Haha it definitely would be! Kamaji and Adla got busy, that's for
sure, but at least they're not starved of successors in case anything
happens. I wonder if Tale will ever let go of the resentment he had
build up within him, and move on from it? Also I noticed while reading
that Obi IS going to succeed Kamaji as ruler of the Bahari pride? |

Yep! This is the final cub. I had plans for another cub but didn't
know quite what to do then a bolt of sudden inspiration hit. Glad to
know you like and a family picture would be awesome! Also, of course
Obi gets to be useful) |
