Family: Real parents: dead, adopted mother: Karu                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Kotari is a fierce little female cub who isn't so kind at times. It is quite rare that she ever is nice. Of course, she is only kind to Karu, her adopted mother. Karu may be only a teenager whose almost an adult, but Kotari and Karu's bond are unbreakable. Kotari trusts no one but her, and follows Karu everywhere. When Kotari was born, her parents had to go somewhere. So, Karu took care of her until they came back. But, when Kotari's parents had returned, they were injured and bloody. The pride immediately rushed them to the den to care for them. Kotari's parents were outlanders, but they were kind and in need for a pride after being kicked out from their old one. When the pride asked Kotari's parents what happened, they told them they were attacked by their old pride, who were aswell outlanders. They managed to escape with a few injuries but when they were running back to the pride, a herd of animals were running from hyenas. Out of breath, the two parents could run no longer, and were trampled by hundreds of massive animals. They miraculously survived the herd, and walked back home. When the pride heard this story, they were shocked. Both the parents and the pride knew that Kotari would need a new guardian, because Kotari's real parents would not survive this massive injury. Kotari's parents had wounds and scratches everywhere, and were loosing blood quickly. But the biggest problem was that the frightened herd's hoofs had hit their heads more than once. Kotari's parents were watching Karu though, who was tickling baby Kotari, and Kotari was laughing much. Kotari then let out a yawn who started to fall asleep, and Karu licked her head before curling into a ball and letting Kotari keep warm by letting her rest in between her paws. Karu then layed her head down. Kotari's parents knew that Karu was the one. Kotari's parent's last words were, "Karu is the mother now. Kotari's life is in her paws." And ever since then, Kotari has stuck with Karu. She is kind of Kovu and Kiara's grand-daughter. (NOTE: This base is not mine! All rights and credits go to the person who made this base!
