Other information : Mkali is Kpodo and Toren's nephew, Kovu and Kiara's grandson.

History :

Mkali as a cub was more like his Uncle Toren, carefree and troublesome, but also commited and got very good qualities for a royal family member. He loves his morning lessons with his grandfather or uncle or father, but isn't good in his hunting lessons with his mother. Even though he loves family a lot, and enjoys his time with his cousins and friends.

His mother Ndali took him to yet another hunt lesson, this time they couldn't find any herd but near to the borders of the Pride Lands, even though his mother told him to stay close he ran off chasing a lizard, suddenly seen by hyenas who roam the borders to catch any prey. He tried so hard to escape from their deadly jaws and claws, but they were numerous! His mother noticed his absence and quickly rushed tracking down his scent, when she spots the hyenas injuring her son she fought them off as hard as she could, but the problem was she was hunting alone and no one else was with her, the hyenas forced her down when wounding her dangerously and another slowly walked towards Mkali who was uncouncious, and bit down the little cub's chest hardly to kill him, that ripped Ndali's heart apart.

Luckily enough Toren was near by and he heard the cub shriek, he rushed over and furiously fought the hyenas till they fled away, He helped up Ndali and picked up Mkali back to the pride lands. 

 Rafiki treated Ndali's wounds, but he told the royal family that Mkali's dead, so, all the animals gathered up around the pride rock, and Matu places Mkali in the river, to be taken wherever fate wants, this was his final moment with his son. 

The river carried Mkali throughout the pridelands, out to the outlands, and into another green location still unnamed. There the cub was settled near the river, and found by two hyenas. At first they argued over if they should leave him or not, but he was so wounded and so weak. Skipper and Dash took him to Kpodo, now a young adult. Kpodo didn't know who this cub was, but at first he despised to take care of cubs, he and his two friends agreed to live without any concern, and now they brought the concern of a wounded cub?! That was great.

Skipper and Dash took great care of Mkali just like they did to Kpodo, they squashed some plants and rubbed the liquid on Mkali's wounds, keeping him warm as well. When he woke up, he couldn't remember his name, who did this to him or even where he came from. Kpodo assumed the little cub lost his memory and it was true, they later on named him Theo till they find his parents.

At first Kpodo didn't like it when Theo, or Mkali, was around. He may lost his memory but his attitude's still the same, he'd put himself in danger and Kpodo /has/ to run after him. What bothered Kpodo is that Dash and Skipper assumed Theo has the same personality as Kpodo as a cub. But soon enough Kpodo got to spend more time with Theo, and loved the cub deeply when he knew what it feels like to take care of one of his own kind, a lion and not a hyena. And so they continued living in that particular place, Theo building great memories with his three friends, and slowly his mind begins to remember faces, names, events he doesn't even know where they happened! 

When he grew into a young adult he met a lioness that assumed she knows him, Kpodo and the two hyenas never thought Mkali would  face his past one day. She still insists that Theo or Mkali knows her, and when Theo froze he remembered her name, and greeted his friend with joy. She tells him that it's a blessing she found him, she says that she ran away from the pride trying to find help, hyenas are becoming aggressive, very aggressive that they want to take over the pride lands and take the food left for winter. And asks him to go back and help her, but he refuses. For he doesn't want to go back, to him he's a hyena like Kpodo and hates to help lions, he's happy where he is. And he thinks she's lying about him being a royal member in the family. After many arguments she  was able to make him remember almost everything, his pride, and even his duty to protect the land he lives on. He asks Kpodo for help, but Kpodo refuses, saying that he's an outcast, he doesn't belong to prides and had enough of the pride lands' treatment to him when he was young.

Mkali had to leave with his friend, he travelled the way back to the pride lands and saw the signs of the battle everywhere, Matu was defending his mother and Toren was fighting off the hyenas barely as both he and his brother were wounded badly. Mkali steps in and since he's younger, he could move faster. The hyenas recognized him, and aime to get him too, but Kpodo joined in soon, he couldn't leave Mkali fight alone, 

The hyenas were defeated after a great effort, Mkali thanked Kpodo a lot for standing next to him, even though he doesn't know why, Kpodo just /had/ to fight side by side to Mkali. Mkali's friend took him to where his parents stood and now, everything to Mkali seemed to be gained, as if he was very sure this /is/ the place he's been raised in for a long while, and both Matu and Ndali couldn't be more thankful that their son is somehow alive and even returned! 

The pride landers saw Kpodo, and they admitted that they misjudged him, offering him to stay in the pride lands, but Kpodo refused politely, he has to take care of his two friends and doesn't like to stay in one place. For once he felt very happy that he actually met his nephew, and reunited with his family, but Kovu and Kiara accepted the fact that Kpodo doesn't belong to the pride lands as deep as they do, he loves to wander and explore with Skipper and Dash. Now that Mkali returned things are normal as can be, he loved that he remembered his family even though he lost his memory, but this gave him a great chance to meet his uncle who he'll never, for sure, forget.
