History!

Daina was a young lioness, born in the Sunset Sky Pride. The Sunset Sky Pride was a mysterious pride, near Malka's pride. It was said to have rather different ranks; and those who thought that were correct. Daina was to become a "healer", a rank only thought to be from the Sunset Sky Pride. Her two sisters, Abena and Afia, were also destined to become healers. Suddenly, her father brought in two more cubs, both female, like all of them. He quickly explained to Daina and her sisters that they were also their sisters, and that their names were Chiamaka and Monifa. What none of them knew, however, is that Chiamaka and Monifa were just adoptive siblings that their father had gotten from a lioness who couldn't take care of them.

As they got a bit older, they moved into the Healer Cave, a small cave for the healers to sleep and heal others in. They usually played hide and seek in the cave, as it was dark there and had a few good hiding spots. This annoyed Amadi, the newest member of the pride, and they knew they wouldn't want to get into a fight with him, as he was rather muscular, and he had sharp claws. They decided playing tag instead, hoping that Amadi wouldn't be as annoyed with them, but he, of course, still was.

Becoming teens caused trouble for most of them, but Daina was still almost the same, only less immature. Her and her siblings soon became the only healers in the pride, as the other three healers mysteriously died from Amadi attacking them, but nobody knew Amadi's true plans, so it was unknown to everyone how they died. Daina became a great healer, and she thought it was the perfect job for her.

As an adult, Amadi's true side got unleashed for her and her sisters. Amadi tried to attack Daina's sisters, giving them plently of scars and also notched ears. Daina, however, was more lucky. She only had two scar on her cheek and one on her back. Knowing the pride would be in the hands of chaos, she ran away from home, spotting the Pridelands and a large cave made from giant rocks in the distance. "Maybe I can stay there..." she thought, but as she came closer, now in the Pridelands territory, she saw other lions there. She quickly ran to the cave; maybe these lions were kind and friendly. Walking up onto Pride Rock, she felt scared. "Um...hi..." she mumbled. A lion who seemed to be the king looked at her. "Who are you?" he asked. "Um... I'm Daina, a healer of the Sunset Sky Pride." she replied. The Pridelanders, who had heard legends about Sunset Sky suddenly began asking many questions, but Daina was tired and couldn't answer that many. "I am king Kovu, and this is Kiara." the lion responded after a moment. "We should let her in, she doesn't seem like a threat to the pride." Kiara whispered as Kovu nodded.

Daina found the Pridelands to be a great place, but she missed her old pride and wondered how it was doing. She decided to sit under a tree to make a decision; Should she stay in the Pridelands or go back to her pride? as she was trying to make up her mind, a rogue lioness came forward with a grin on her face, attacking her. Daina, now lying on the ground, couldn't get up. She knew this was the end for her, and she knew that it would come.

Chausiku, Kovu and Kiara's daughter saw what had happened and quickly ran to tell everyone. Soon there was a crowd of lions around Daina's body. Chausiku quickly ran over. "Don't die!" she cried. Daina only weakly looked up. "We all die someday." she whispered. "And it's time for me to do so." Those were Daina's last words. Everyone was sad, but they knew what she had said was true.
