Personality:She's quite a sweet little lioness,like honey as what she's named after,but she does have a cold side too. She's quite clever and cunning,also very sneaky.But she's friendly and prefers to avoid conflict,not wanting to dirty her honey brown coat.She's quite touchy too,and prefers it if people have a bit of respect.She's sensitive and can get hurt very badly if she takes something the bad way,but she can also be forgiving.She loves to act childish and irresponsible; it's her charm.She can be a real flirt sometimes,and because of her beauty,it's not a surprise if males flirt back.

History:During Scar's evil reign,Sarafina was hiding quite a secret.She had met a male lion just before Scar took over,he was called Tanglemane apparently.The two clicked and fell for each other.However,as soon as Scar became the king,he was chased away,as were all the other males in the land.Sarafina found herself pregnant with Tanglemane's cub,and she longed to tell him the news... But sadly,the world didn't work like that. Sarafina pleaded to Sarabi to help her,in any way so ensure her cubs safety. She could only hope and wish that the cub was born female,so Scar woul have no reason to hurt the poor little thing...

Her wishing was rewarded when she gave birth to a beautiful,healthy baby lioness.Her coat was the colour of honey,and Sarafina loved that about her.She named her Asali because of it.

Of course,sweet things turn sour.Scar didn't approve of Asali,saying she was a waste,and an extra mouth to feed.That,and Sarafina was now unable to hunt while she had to take care of the newborn.This annoyed the king as one of his hunters could no longer hunt for him and his family.Sarabi said that she would take Sarafina's load for a while,and do her best to hunt double.This worried the paler lioness,for she knew that Sarabi was a good hunter,but she wouldn't be able to hunt two at a time...

However,Sarabi didn't have to do so for long. Sarafina got back on her paws fast,as she didn't want her friend to suffer. When she was out,it was Nala and Mheetu's job to take care of their little sister. Mheetu loved her,as he was no longer the youngest,but Nala.. didn't like her as much.Nala feared that her mother would devote all her attention to her half sister and she'd be forgotten.So,she was bitter towards her little half sister.

Growing up wasn't easy for Asali.Her half brother Mheetu was chased away once his mane began to grow out.Asali was young at the time and she didn't want to part with her brother,she loved him and was confused why he had to leave. Sarafina was heartbroken to see her beautiful girl cry so much,and it was painful enough to see her baby boy leave,so she was in a bad way for a while.Though the help of the lionesses soothed her now fragile heart.

Asali loved her mother,and she also loved Sarabi.She was such a gentle,kind lioness,and she always knew just what to say when she needed to hear it.However,Asali knew that her big sister,Nala,didn't like her,and Sarafina knew this too.Nala didn't like the fact that her mother mated with another lion other than her own father.She felt as if she was no longer important.No matter what Asali did,she couldn't win the respect of her older sister...

As she started to mature,Asali felt threatened by Scar.He was always looking at her,watching her from a distance.She said this to Sarafina,who was outraged.She argued with Scar,demanding that he stopped making her daughter feel so uncomfortable.Scar just grinned evilly,replying with "I am the King.I can do whatever I want." This made Sarafina even more mad.She attacked the king in blind rage,only to get attacked by the hyenas. Scar,in his evil ways,told her that she could stay.

If Asali beared him a cub.

This horrified Sarafina,Asali,Sarabi and even Nala.Every lioness was disgusted at their 'King's' thoughts.Asali was just a young lioness! She wasn't even ready to mother a cub! It was just horrifying. Nala left instantly at this,looking for help. She couldn't stand Scar's rule any longer!

Asali went into hiding.Every day,she hid from Scar,only coming out when Sarafina or Sarabi wanted her to.She was terrifed of Scar... 

Relief came when Simba returned.She didn't exactly know who he was,but she had heard stories of him from Sarabi.Simba was confused as to who she was but once she said she was Nala's half sister,he was much more friendly towards her.The Pridelands became peaceful once more and Asali no longer felt afraid.She was now able to do what she wanted,and really,she was like a younger sibling to Simba himself.Asali loved being around Simba,but this... didn't sit well with Nala.

She was afraid Asali would get too close to Simba and she didn't want that.She warned her to back off a bit,as she was Simba's mate. Asali,hurt by this,did what she was told and kept away from her King.

Because of this,Asali's personality became a bit colder.She now wanted to stay away from the pride,not feeling welcome as her sister was now Queen.She didn't care though.She just 'did what she was told and kept quiet'.It made no difference... she grew up like that anyways...

Sarafina slowly began to notice how her daughter was behaving.She ate less,talked less,and slept more.Sarafina feared she'd die young,so she talked with Nala.At first,she didn't really care.She didn't take what her mother was saying seriously,so she shrugged it off.

Then,one day,Asali was suddenly attacked by a group of hyena's. She was badly injured but,luckily,Simba rescued her.She was terrified about everything and didn't want to speak to anybody.But,Simba just about managed to get her to eat,speak and open up more.Asali finally said everything she wanted to Simba,about how she hated her sister and the way she acted towards her.Simba felt sorry for her and the two... got very close.

Weeks went by,and Asali began to notice she was eating a lot more.Her stomach would hurt a lot and she didn't understand why.But,she didn't care.She was now very friendly with Simba,and the two shared a secret relationship behind Nala's back.They'd nuzzle and show affection when they were alone.But she was confused about why she had changed so much so she spoke with Rafiki,who told her the bitter truth...

She was pregnant.

And it was going to be Simba's cub.This worried her a lot.She was already on bad terms with her sister,and this would defiantly be worse.She could only hope that the cub didn't look like Simba... 

It was extremely difficult to tell him.After all,how was she supposed to say such a thing?Nala had already given him two cubs. She knew it was a King's job to make sure the pride grew... But it still worried her to what Nala would actually do.She could never understand her sister...

She told him straight,as it was the only way she could tell him.He was very surprised by this,not expecting her to tell him.But instead of a harsh comment,he nuzzled her and ensured that it would be fine.For the moment,they'd just have to say they didn't know who the father was.And if the cub looked like him,Simba would explain everything. Asali was grateful for his kind attitude towards it,but she continued to worry...
