Personality: Zahra is very outgoing and confident, and never shies away from a fight or scrap. She inherits her father's bulky build and thus, is very strong, and likes to use this strength to her advantage. Her past is filled with tragedy though, and that leaves a number on her overall optimism, but she soon picks back up again with the aid of her mother and Nala.

Bio:

Zahra is born a while before Simba's mishap in the Shadowlands, and her birth is widely celebrated throughout the Empire. Because her father is often busy teaching Simba, and the young prince rarely has time for her, she grows up in the company of her mother. As not to be rude, Sarabi often takes her daughter on visits to her uncle, who, in truth, loves the girl and wouldn't do a thing to hurt her, which is more than can be said for Simba.

When Zahra is still a young cub, her brother is killed in a stampede, along with her father, who died while rushing in to save him. Distraught, Zahra refuses to talk to or play with anyone, only allowing her mother to see her. She eventually regains her confidence, but her mother is still in anguish, and even more so when Taka refuses to allow Zahra to take the throne when she comes of age. Unaware of the political problems, Zahra continues to play with her friends, and grows to be a strong and bold individual.

She is only an adolescent when her brother returns, and is wary of him when he greets her. He looks nothing like he did when he was a cub, and his scents have all changed. This is the rightful King? Unlikely. She leaves the pride for a while until the land has calmed down, and in her travels, meets Zira, who has been left without her mate. She becomes good friends with Zira's daughter, Raziya, and when Zira offers to take her into the pride, Zahra accepts. She also meets a handsome rogue who has joined the pride for a brief time, and the two share a short relationship.

Sometime after the rogue leaves, Zahra gives birth to his cubs. One of them a dark russet lioness with a spot beneath her lip, and the other a grey-furred male. Zira is wary of the male, and asks Zahra to take him away - he is a challenger to Kovu's future throne, and is not allowed to live in the pride. Zahra refuses, but Zira manages to steal the cub and kill him herself. Angered and afraid, Zahra leaves her cub in the care of Zira's sister Sly-Eye, and leaves, wandering around the Empire and seperating herself from pride life altogether.
