Story: Jelani's name is not what it means- Scar said "He is no son of mine, just like that usless cub of Sarabi's!" But Raja loved her son. She loved him more than anything. So she named him Jelani, meaning 'Mighty', Raja thought that Jelani would one day be mighty, and be a ruler of a pride one day, or be high ranked.

Jelani at this point, all he wanted to do was play with the other cubs, especially Sefu, Afua and Mheetu. He also fancied Tama a bit. But he was scared to date her in case Scar caught him hanging around one of 'his' lionesses!

When Jelani was a teenager he left the pridelands with Afua, Kula, Tama, Malka, Tojo & Mheetu. His mother was heart broken. She lost her son.

Shortly, the group of teenagers found a great place to live. They made Tojo and Tama the King and Queen. Jelani was jealous of his brother. Jelani wanted Tama, but it was to late. Jelani started to avoid the pride, especially Tojo. Jelani was worried he would become like his father, an outcast, desperate to murder his brother. Jelani didn't want that. He wanted that his brother and his mate are well and can take care of their unborn cub. He didn't want cubs. They were to much work for Jelani.
