Upepo is a cream-colored lion with with blue-gray eyes, pink nose, cream-white muzzle, paws and underbelly. Upepo is roguish, truehearted, great-hearted, ferocious, stouthearted and somewhat of a pigheaded lion who is the eldest cub of Mheetu and Kaskazi. Upepo is considered the most roughest and ferocious lion of the Pridelands, since he has a ferocious and blood-and-guts conduct. Ironically, Upepo can easily become halfhearted when he loses his confidence, but his cousin, Kiara, is there to cheer him up. Upepo's ambition/desire is to defeat Zira and the destroy the Outlands, but amusingly, Upepo has an outlander nose. As Upepo got older, became more rugged and rough then you can imagine! But Upepo does have some mercy to his enemies. Upepo is responsible for Zira's death and killed her the same way as Scar killed Mufasa, notwithstanding the facts that he is not murderous as Scar. Upepo only killed Zira, to avenge Mufasa. Pepo dogmatically thinks, that Zira was also part of his grandfather's death. Upepo was almost killed by Zira's eldest son, Nuka, during his cubhood, but is rescued by Nala, Upepo's aunt. He also has a scar on the back of his tail because of Nuka as well. Later, Upepo saw N'gora (as you guys commonly know her as, Digger) crossing the pridelands. He orders her to get out and N'gora, frighten with fear, gets out of the Pridelands.
