Kind; She likes to make everyone feel welcome around her, and hates it when she sees someone being treated differently, believing everyone is the same. She tries to protect and cheer up anyone else. She believes all of earth’s creatures are equal, and the ‘Food Chain’ is just a way to survive and must not be misused. She thinks anyone who misuses it is cruel and harmful to everyone, before that animal did not have a reason to die, but rather sport and it gets her mad.

Moody; Everyone has their bad side, and Mayonaka is no exception. She has her bad days, and when she does, it is clear as day! She could go from ‘happy-go-lucky’ to ‘I’m Going to kill you!’ In a second. She easily chases anyone away when in a mood, for she is known for her verbal assaults getting horribly bad. She will often storm around, growling under her breath and snarling at anything and everyone.

Impatient; May has a very low attention span, and with that, her patients go all time low. She likes things done at once, and anyone who takes forever to do something drives her crazy. She tries to get things done within a short amount of time, which sometimes can be a huge flaw for her when it comes to hunting.

Shy; She has her shy side also. This part of her came into effect because of her cub hood after she was chased out of her Pride and grew up with ones older than her, so she doesn’t get along easily with others her age.

Clever; Mayonaka id very witty and knows how to outsmart any foe. She often studies her foe for days on a regular schedule, which is funny because of her impatient side. In these days, she makes an effort to learn their ways, and when the time comes, she uses this against them.

Immature; Ka-Ka can be really immature, often acting like a playful cub instead of a teenager. She hates to be serious and would rather rough-house than act like a true matured teen lioness. She is not one to follow rules and would rather break rules than follow them. She doesn’t like having to follow a high ranking lion and being a follower, she rather be a leader than a follower to anyone.

Defensive; Mayonaka is very defensive of personal topics. She does not like it when others tell her what to do, and she absolutely hates it when others tell her she needs to find a mate and make a new Pride. She just hates the idea of being tied down with a mate and having to listen to the male. She doesn’t mind the ideas of the cubs, just an overpowering male that thinks he has full control over her. She also hates it when others bring up the topics of what happened to her birth pride, or her birth mother. She gets really mad if any ask about her unnatural characteristics and by that, normally storms off in a rage.

History; Before Birth// After Birth// Cub Months// Teenage Days

Before Birth; In modern day Japan, a female African Lion by the name of Kinu was entering her second heating. She was another animal prisoner of an illegal Wild Animal Breeding Program. She was to be bred with a Black Panther male in an experiment breeding. In truth, she hated the idea of breeding with a male she didn’t know, but she knew if she didn’t breed with him, the No-Furs(humans) would surely kill her and she had vowed to stay alive long enough to be free again. When the breeding started, Kinu was very moody, not letting the male close, which was slightly a shame sense he was a kind male… About half a week into her heating, she finally allowed the male to breed with her. After this, she was dragged away into a small concrete cage away from the other lionesses, for the No-Furs feared she would be attacked… They fed her only what she needed while she was pregnant, no more and no less. Then one day while Kinu was passing back and forth in her cage, she heard the familiar sounds of what the animals called ‘Round-Up’. Round-Up was when animals from this program were gathered up and shipped to others in the world… In the chaos of Round-Up, and her not truly showing signs of pregnancy, she was mistaken as a Round-Up lioness and quickly herded onto the ship and put in a small one animal moving crate. She than was shipped off with the rest of the animals made for Round-Up, no one guessing she was not supposed to be there. When they finally docked in an old cave, made to hide the ship from sight, the chaos of getting the animals off the ship and into tunnels to enclosures, while hurrying so they were not discovered, provided quite crazy. Kinu was shoved into a group of lionesses she did not know and moved along. In the chaos, she took her chance and escaped from the No-Furs. She swam quickly to the main land, which provided not far away. Once she was sure she was safe and ready to move on, she took off into the land that her species was born, Africa. She quickly ran into a small pride. With some help from the other lionesses in the pride, she convinced the Dominant Male to let her stay. It was soon after the Pride found out about her pregnancy and they couldn’t be more excited.

After Birth; Mayonaka was born to a beautiful brown female lion by the name of Kinu, Japanese for Silk. She had a litter-brother by the name of Puraimu, Japanese for Prime. She was born with a smoky gray coat and some of her fur color was even darker than that. The Pride was worried, for Lion cub coats often darkened with age and in their Pride history, black lions were bad omens. Kinu only reassured the troubled Pride when she lied that the father of the cubs was a dark gray, and not a black, but there was still rumor of some wanting to kill the young cub before she did grow up to make sure, which made Kinu only more defensive..

Cub Months; Over the months, Mayonaka and Puraimu grew and became a troublesome two, often getting into trouble and causing the Pride many consequences. They got many lions mad and the other lions would often yell at their mother, and in return, Kinu would scold them. They were quite different from many cubs in several ways. Puraimu didn’t have an African Lion tail, rather sporting a panther tail. He also owned the slimmer eyes of a panther. Mayonaka had the dark fur, slimmer form, and silker, shiner coat of a panther. She also had the swifter movements and her muscles and bone structure didn’t look much like a lion, rather a female panther. She had a lion tail, but it was slightly thicker than average. They loved to run and climb trees, which was not common for Lion cubs. They also liked to spend their days playing in the branches, making the other lions give them odd looks and call them ‘monkeys’. But there was a flaw, as Mayonaka matured into a healthy cub, her fur darkened until it hit a dark smoky black. The lions of their Pride were horrified and constantly tried dropping hints to chase Mayonaka off, or better yet, kill her. The only thing that truly kept Mayonaka safe was the love her mother gave her. It truly was useful that Kinu had worked her way up in the hunting ranks and with this, earned great respect, for this truly protected Mayonaka. Then one day that changed when Mayonaka’s world turned up-side down. No-Furs came searching for their lion they bred, and her panther/lion offspring. They attacked the Pride with Thunder Branches(guns) and shot many with sleep thorns(sleeping darts). Many didn’t get away and the ones that did were horrified. Mayonaka’s brother and mother wore captured and only wanting to listen to her mother, Mayonaka escaped with the remaining of the Pride, but that turned out to be the biggest mistake of her life… The second the pride had calmed down from the attack, they turned on her, screaming at her that the attack was her fault and she was just a bad omen and they should have killed her while she was young, along with many other hurtful things. Mayonaka knew she didn’t have a chance against them, so she ran for it. She managed to escape her attempted murderers, but not without a good few of wounds. The major ones were her hip and between her shoulders. For days she wondered, starved, and hurt, unable to capture food for she had not been taught how to hunt before everything had changed. She found it hard to find water and soon found herself asking why she stayed alive at all. One day when she was traveling, she ran into some outsiders, and was took back to their Pride. There she met Zira, the lioness seemed nice enough, but her true colors quickly showed. She wanted Mayonaka to be a spy. Her job would be to go into the Pride-lands and spy on Pride rock, but Mayonaka hated the idea, and refused right away. Well this didn’t go down nicely with Zira, and in a fury of rage, she attacked Ka-ka, biting her neck and throwing her against the cave wall, knocking the poor cub out. When Mayonaka awoke, she realized she was not in Zira’s cave, but rather in a smaller one.. At first, she just lay there before trying and failing to get up. It was then that she had heard massive paw-steps and a male lion walked in, quickly followed by a female lion, they looked almost the same color and looked roughly the same age. At first, she shied away from them, not wanting anything to do with her ‘so called rescuers’. After a bit though, she realized they would not harm her. It was then that she sat down and listened to them. It ended up that they had secrectly snuck into Zira’s cave to get her and then ran off, and she quickly warmed up to them after that, thanking them repeatedly for rescuing her and nursing her back to health.

Teenage Days; Now days, Mayonaka travels with Mwepesi and Mwiba, having lived with them sense Ngurumo found her that fateful night. She loves to explore with them and loves the open space. They are like their own little Rogue Pride, she constantly says and loves them for that.

Relation to TLK; She was captured by Zira’s outlander pride, but was rescued by two lion siblings, Mwiba and Mwepesi, that were planning on leaving Zira’s pride anyway.
