Personality: Despite his hardships, Ledimo is very optomistic and hates to bring anyone's mood down. He always contributes to a pride or group he is part of, and is overly protective of his loved ones.

Bio:

Ledimo is the firstborn son of the King of the Kavu Pride, and is the King's only son. Because of this, despite his father's misgivings, he is, by default, the heir to the pride. He grows up in the company of the pride's best scholars and teachers, and is educated well, but his father will have nothing to do with him. For some reason, the King hates the child, mostly because he looks more like his mother, a beautiful lioness, but despised by the King for simply being female.

Ledimo grows to be a young adult, strong and witty, and must one day take the throne. But alas, his mother, though old, births twin sons, Ng'erech and Kweelak, and the King decides that Ng'erech shall be his new heir. Outraged, Ledimo accepts his father's descicions, but when Ng'erech is an older cub, he savages the boy and leaves him for dead. He instantly feels terrible for his actions, and flees the pride, heart riddled with grief and regret.

He comes across the Pridelands and meets a young lioness there, Vitani. She is an outsider among the pride, and not so popular with the lionesses. She is beautiful in her own way, and Ledimo approaches her one day and gets to know her. They become close, and soon, he is expecting her cubs.

Another lioness, Ikuta, also tries for his affections, but fails. When the word gets out that Ledimo is a cub-killer, he and Vitani flee, and settle in a small cave in a valley far from the Pridelands. It is there their son, Noka, and daughter, Uzuri, are born, and the couple are happy, unaware that Ikuta plans to kill Vitani and their cubs and have Ledimo for herself.
