History(i know it's long, please read, i hope you enjoy!): Asatira was born in the pridelands during Mufasa’s reign, but her parents fled with her and her sister, still just young cubs, to another pride, when Scar took over, far from the pridelands and away from Scar's reach. One of the king and queen’s conditions of letting them stay was her sister was betrothed to the prince. Asatira and her sister grew up alongside the prince, her sister and the prince becoming great friends.

When they were teens,Asatira and her sister had their first hunts, Asatira coming out on top as the better hunter of the two. And one day, they learned of her sister's betrothal to the prince, her sister and the prince did not mind, actually, they were elated, for they both had feelings for each other since cubhood, Asatira was very happy for her sister and the prince.

Later on when Asatira was a young adult, Asatira met a rogue lion named Zaire, he was in bad shape and hadn’t eaten in a while, and so she took pity on him and hid him in some caves and nursed him back to health. During that time, the two grew close, and eventually fell deeply in love. That’s when he told her that he was a runaway prince from a far off land and that he had run away because he was betrothed to a lioness that he did not wish to marry, and he had wanted to be able to choose who he took as his mate and his parents refused, so he ran away, but now he missed his family and wished to return and wished for Asatira to return with him, she accepted. The only thing she had here now was her sister, and her sister was happy. So she said her goodbyes to her sister and left with her new mate and they began their journey to his home. His family accepted them with open arms, for they had missed their son very much. One day, another pride invaded the territory, almost every lion in the pride was needed to go and help, including her mate. Asatira stayed back with some of the other lionesses to protect the cubs. When the pride returned they brought news of victory, but they looked grim, and Asatira could not understand why. Then she noticed Zaire was missing, and when she asked his father about him, his face fell and he said “he... he didn’t make it..”, Asatira‘s blood ran cold “what!?” she gasped. “A couple of the other pride’s males got ahold of him and killed him before we could tear them off”. “No!” she gasped and ran from him, to where the battle had taken place, and her mate’s body still lie.

She ran up to his body and nuzzled it “n­o… this can’t be happening!” Asatira felt a breaking a ripping feeling in her chest , 'so this is what it means.. to have a broken heart' she thought as she collapsed beside his body “this… this is just a dream! It has to be!” she spent that night mourning at his body. She didn’t even move when his family came to mourn. She continued to lay there, her nose buried in his mane, even after his family finished mourning the next morning. Even after they tried to persuade her to return to the pride’s home, she remained at his side. After three days, she finally grew weary of fending of scavengers and also she was becoming quite hungry, so she gave her dead mate one last nuzzle, and left, not heading in any specific direction, just away from the memories, away from anything to remind her of her dead mate. She no longer felt anything, nothing, just emptiness. She let her instincts guide her, and ate only when she needed, and just kept going for days, and days turned into weeks.

One day, she had just found a place under a tree to rest, when she felt this strange soft kicking feeling from inside her, she lifted her head and looked at her belly, she saw nothing. But she noticed now, her belly had grown in size, and was beginning to bulge. Then, she felt the kicking feeling again, and saw a tiny paw shape, coming from inside her, Asatira's eyes bulged, could she be pregnant with Zaire's cubs?!? She thought back to the time she’d spent with him, and realized, it was a very high possibility- she was pregnant! For once, since her mate’s death, Asatira felt joy, she had little pieces of him, HIS cubs. Asatira purred and, also for the first time since her mate died, began to groom herself, all the neglect on her coat had taken its toll and her fur didn’t quite gain back its old sheen it once had, but was still gleaming in the sunlight that shone through the branches of the tree.

She now had only one thing to worry about, she had to find a pride to raise her cubs in. thus her search for a suitable, and accepting, pride began. This is how she stumbled upon the pridelands, the home of her birth, of which, she had very little memory. She trekked across the land until she was found by a hunting party, who took her to pride rock. There, she asked Simba for shelter and a place to raise her cubs in and, after hearing hr plea, he accepted, so long as she agreed to pull her own weight in the pride and help on the hunts, she gladly agreed and so, her life in the pridelands began.
