Personality: Malaika is very sensible and responsible, but inherits her mother's child-like innocence. She loves to play and hates the idea of fighting and conflict.

Bio:

The firstborn of Sisi and Tunda, Malaika embraces the concept of life and is eager to enjoy is from the day she opens her eyes. She often plays with her little sister, Sheria, but she doesn't enjoy the games as much as Malaika, which dissapoints her.

When she is only young, her mother and father take her away from the pride, to live with their uncle. Just when they're nearing Ni's home though, a lion attacks Tunda and kills him. Malaika is too young to understand at the time, but still grieves along with Sheria.

She recovers though, and continues to play as she did. Sheria is more serious now, which upsets Malaika. If she can't move on, how will she ever be happy again?

Malaika is only a teen when she meets Ndege, a small, somber young lion. He is friendly, and Malaika encourages him to open up. When they both come of age, Ndege asks to be her mate, and she says yes. She bears him a daughter and a son, but during her daughter's birthing, she loses too much blood and slips away, leaving behind a distraught Ndege.
