Bio:
Tai is Ithata's firstborn, and thus, the heir to her throne. His father pretends to love him and dote upon him, but when Tai has to be left alone with Tamaa, when his mother is out running errands, he is beaten and wounded by his father. He is afraid of the older lion, but dares not speak out to his mother, in fear of punishement.
One night, Tamaa leads them away and tries to kill him and Tasa, but his father is stopped and killed by none other than Ithata herself. The event leaves him mortally wounded and he is slow to recover.
He finally breaks out of his shell when he is a young teen, and is willing to play and open up again. He meets and befriends a young lioness, Leganata, and asks if she will be his mate when they come of age. She agrees and they continue on with their friendship.
When he is a young adult, Tasa comes to him weeping. Tai manages to calm her down enough to hear what she's saying, and he learns that she is barren, infertile. Unable to bear cubs.
He shares her grief and stays with her while she calms down, then she bids him farewell and leaves his side. He is greatly upset by his sister's news, but that does not stop him from encouraging her to adopt a cub.
When he rises to the throne, Leganata at his side, he hears news that a rival pride seeks to destory theirs for their land and resources. Tai consults his mate and sister, and they tell him to take the pride and flee. Why not merge their pride with Ni's? Their uncle surely wouldn't object.
When his cubs are born, a daughter and two sons, he sends messengers to Ni's Pride to relay the news. They return with Ni's condolences and his approval of his descision - they are welcome to join his pride.
When his cubs are old enough to travel, he takes them on the journey to Ni's Pride, where they are welcomed with open arms. Tai must renounce his claim to the throne, as Ni and his new mate and heir are the royal family now. Tai considers, and agrees. It would not do to have two Kings.
He lives until his death in Ni's Pride, after seeing his cubs grow to adulthood.
