Bio:
Ithata is the first to be born in Jinga's litter, and the entire pride are enchanted when she opens her eyes. She has the telltale red eyes that mark the family, but they are surrounded by fur as dark as night. This is seen as a great beauty among the lions of the pride, and her parents have no doubts when choosing her as the heir to their throne.
She grows up mostly in the company of her father, who teaches her about how to run a kingdom. He is a good King, and Ithata wants to be just like him. Of course, she lusts for the power and fame that comes along with it, but she keeps her desires to herself.
When she is a young adult, her little brother, Ni, leaves the pride. She is hurt deeply by the loss and becomes less vain in her ways, and her pride appreciate her all the more for it.
When she becomes Queen, Sisi, her sister, also leaves. She wishes her luck and goes with her to the border, where she meets Tunda, her sister's mate, for the first time. He smiles and bids her good luck, and then the family depart.
A few days later, a bloodied lion appears on the border. He is wounded, but there is blood on his lips and claws, as though he has been in a fight. She accepts him into the pride and she herself nurses him back to health. His name is Tamaa, and he tells her that he was in a fight with a lion, who had a beautiful mate and two daughters, and all four of them were looking for Ni's Pride. Ithata is troubled; that decription matches Sisi and her family, but she thinks nothing of it.
When Tamaa is healthy again, she asks him to be her Prince-Consort, and he agrees. She bears him a son and a daughter, Tai and Tasa, and she loves them both.
Then she discovers that Tamaa intends to kill them both.
She watches him as he takes them both way, far from the safety of the pride. She walks in in him, and he tells ther that he only planned to take the two on a walk. She says okay, and esorts them back to the pride, but the following nights, she is accompanied by two lionesses.
They manage to stop Tamaa before he can strike them, and they kill him before he can do anything. Ithata is hurt, but she understands that it was necessary.
She lives long enough to see Tai take the throne, then she passes on.
