Personality: Mwezi is very cunning and crafty, and uses her beauty as a very pale lioness to seduce lions into working with or for her. She is also known to either help or hinder others, and will only do things if it for her own gain. This doesn't mean she is evil or not a nice lion – if you're on her side, she will be good to you and treat you like a friend, but only if you're on her side. And that means you're the winning side.

Mwezi is the daughter of one of the three leaders of the Sentinels. She is younger than most of the cubs in the pride, and is often bullied because of the other cubs' hate for her father. But she hates him too, and she can do nothing about it.

She hears about her father's constant abuse of the lionesses, and she wants to do something to stop them, but every time she approaches her father, he sends her away, saying, 'I'm busy, go bother someone else.'

She grows up in the pride, and when she is a young lioness, three strangers, two lions and a lioness, approach her father and his henchmen. The males challenge her father, and she is happy, for he will finally get the justice he deserves.

Her father is killed, and Mwezi feels no remorse. She also hears that one of the challengers, a young male named Mwokozi, is gravely injured and will need healing. She worries for him, and prays that he survives. But he wakes up the next morning, complaining of a headache and nothing more, and the pride can relax.

The other male, Nuka, becomes King in her father's stead. After his ascension, he asks her to become a part of his harem. She considers this; as a mate of the King she will have power and control over the Kingdom, and other lions will fear her and respect her. She agrees, and bears him a daughter, Dhaifu, twin sons Mafuriku and Dhoruba, and another daughter, Kaidi.

When her cubs are adults, she is approached by Mwokozi, who tells her of Nuka's plans to attack Pride Rock and overthrow the King there. She is outraged at his audacity, and asks Mwokozi what he plans to do. He tells her that on the day of the battle, he and his following will confront Nuka and try to convince him to stand down. She tells him that he is a fool, but she joins him, as do all of her cubs, save for Mafuriko.

On the day of the battle, she stands to protect Mwokozi as he talks to Nuka, who doesn't look as if he wants to listen. When Nuka launches himself at Mwokozi, Mwezi is forced to help his following fight the loyalists, including Mafuriko. She comes face-to-face with her son, and he would kill her, had Dhoruba not killed his twin in time. Mwezi is distraught, and Dhoruba takes her aside to try and calm her down.

After the battle has ended, Mwokozi's pride return home to rebuild. Mwokozi becomes King, and his son, Kinyume, trains to take his place. Mwezi lives to an old age, and dies peacefully in her sleep.
