Bio:
Chanzo is born into the Northlands, a theocratic land with very religious inhabitants, and is the firstborn of High Priest Kaaroonet's cubs, and thus, heir to his position. As a young cub, he is very eager to learn and will spend hours with his father, pondering over the subject of faith and religion.
When he is a little bit older, his younger brother, Nyigu, begins to bully him with the help of other cubs. They mock his fascination with religion, and tease him for his position as future High Priest. While Chanzo is also wounded by his brother's lack of heart, he also shrugs it off - they're probably just jealous.
Chanzo grows to be a healthy young teen, and one day, while he is hunting alone, he is attacked by Nyigu. Chanzo only just manages to escape with his life, and returns to find Nyigu reporting his death. Outrageous!
Chanzo knocks him off his perch and banishes him, despite the protests from his sisters. When his father abdicates and Chanzo becomes High Priest, he repents and allows Nyigu back into the land. Nyigu does not say much, but insists on coming with Chanzo to see Emperor-King Mufasa to discuss the campaign for independence. When Chanzo and Nyigu return, with Chanzo now official leader of his pride, Nyigu suggests that while Chanzo can still be High Priest, Nyigu can be King, and take care of the non-religious affairs of the pride. Chanzo agrees - he could use some help running the kingdom. Besides, Chanzo would have all the power.
Chanzo marries a young lioness, Kali, when his reign is fully secure, and together, they have three daughters and a son. Unfortunately, Chanzo is assassinated in his sleep, and does not live to see his cubs grow.
