Personality: Mwanga is used to fading into the background, she doesn't think much of herself because that was how she was raised to think. She barely speaks and, if someone approaches her, she doesn't make eye contact, lowering her head and looking at her paws. Yet, despite her shy nature and low self-worth, she can be strong. She often acts as Ubo's protector against their brute of an older brother, Gero and often stands up to him despite how many times he strikes her down again. She loves her family but she fears her mother and grandfather, seeing them for the schemers they truly are.

History: Mwanga was the middle cub produced from Olushola and Cersei's unhappy union. As she was female, she was often told that she would never amount to much and her role was to hunt food and produce heirs for any male that would have her. This, as you would expect, severely impacted her own self-worth. Coupled with the bullying she often recieved from her older brother, Gero. 

But, despite being told such, Mwanga was not stupid. She saw what others sometimes refused to see, the fact that her mother and grandfather were hatching plots and scheming to bring the Nyasi Pride down from the inside out. She wanted to tell someone of her fears but who would believe her? Her father was distant at best and her mother's side of the family, despite how much she loved her uncles, were probably in league with them. So, Mwanga stayed silent and prayed that her mother and grandfather wouldn't succeed.

However, change began with the birth of her final sibling, a younger brother that her mother named Ubo. Mwanga fell in love with him almost immediately and was determined that he wouldn't have to suffer what she had. She would be his protector and friend.

When Mwanga was a young adult, a strange visitor arrived that would change everything. The lioness was her cousin, Tendai, the daughter of her mother's long lost sister. Tendai had sought out their pride in hopes of rebuilding her own and soon Cersei and Gero would be heading out to the Jabali Pride. Afraid of what plans her mother had in store, Mwanga argued that she should come along as well, determined to put an end to whatever schemes her family had in store for Tendai and her pride.
